He’s a dinosaur, a busted flush. Poch was done I get that, it had gone stale but why not stick to the blue print and get another young progressive manager? Instead we go completely the other way. We need to stop flip flopping. Decide the style of football we want and if a manager fails go for a similar manager so we aren’t changing a whole squad with every manager change.
Because that blueprint won us fuck all.
The logic behind appointing a proven winner with a truckload of trophies under his belt was good...whether it'll pay off or not is still to be seen, but to judge it as a failure after going from 12th in the league to 5th in 90 odd days, is just daft.
People really need to show some patience.

It’s like some of our fans have all bitten the stick we were gotten prodded with by rival fans... “but what have you won”

I don’t care to be honest. I loved fighting for the title, being the best team in the country over a two year period. Going unbeaten at the Lane, getting to the champions league final. Playing the best football in the country.

Do I care if we got to stand there with a trophy, not particularly. I just want to enjoy watching us twice a week take it to teams. Like how we dismantled city under pep. Liverpool under klopp. And united under mour and the Dutch bloke.

I just want my Tottenham back to be fair with or without trophies. I want to be entertained!

You doubling down on Mourinho is fine but this shot at Pochettino is fucking ludicrous. It was the bullshit penalty that defined that game. Not Poch; not klopp; it was the 1st minute penalty that turned that game into something unlike any in recent memory between the two clubs.

We played scintillating football in that CL run. Just look at goals scored. FFs. Whatever we were it certainly wasn't boring.

What a ridiculous fucking post and shows that you are more interested in doubling down on Mourinho in some bizarre way than any interest in reality.

Blimey.
I didn't say that did I? And you know I didn't. And you know it wasn't the point.

You're becoming unhinged.
As you very well know the game was changed fundamentally by the early penaltyl. It changed BOTH teams approach fundamentally.

If you don't understand this then you know very little about football and sport in general.

If you do understand this then you're lying and making a crack at Poch simply in service to your desire to defend all things Mourinho to such an extent it's making you look like a paid PR servant - just a bad one.

The shot at Poch was not only unnecessary it was stupid. Poch DID NOT set us up to play "insipid" in the CL final. He set us up the way he had for that entire run - ie haphazard; vulnerable but always ALWAYS capable of goals.

you're being ridiculous. Take a night off.
He's doing Mourinho a disservice. Starting to think that if uber Mourinho backers are this fucking disconnected from reality and have to resort to such utterly falsifiable statements just to make their defence, then I should probably revisit my cautious support for the bloke. :cautious:
Go back and take a look at what you quoted me on then take a hard look at yourself. You've been abusive, dismissive and down right out of line while taking what I have said and taking it in a whole different direction.

I'm unhinged?

Stroll on.

@fishhhandaricecake what is your problem? So far you've down rated just about everything I have posted in the last 72 hours and then threatened me with being reported ... If you don't like what I post mate, perhaps put me on ignore, you're acting like a proper child.

And how long do u think Harry Kane and Sonny will be happy with the 'playing entertaining football' trophy.
The club, the players and most importantly the fans, deserve some success.

Just wait until the next press conference, pretty sure someone will read between the lines ready to twist some comments. ;)
I honestly though I'd missed some interview where he'd stuck the knife into Enic the way he was going on.
Apparently not lol.

So you think they will stay because we have won a league cup or fa cup? No way Jose is going to win the league or champions league so what’s the point? When is the last time he won either? Football has moved on from Jose and his boring pragmatic football. And it’s typical of us to employ one of the most decorated managers in history at the very moment he became a has been.

Give me the choice of watching us 2016/17 and winning nothing or this year and winning an fa cup. It’s no contest. I’ve never been so proud of my team as I was under poch.

Well Poch was broken, gone, lost the dressing room, lost the plot...so its not like you can just choose to have that again.
Time to move on mate.

You’re saying this like Jose is guaranteed to win something ???‍♂️

Nothing that I have seen since he has been here has given me any confidence that he will at all. All I’m hearing is “just wait till he has his players” “ two transfer windows” it’s all bull shit!

So at the moment given the choice between poch’s entertaining pot less spurs or Jose’s pragmatic pot less spurs it’s no contest

Mate the first thing I said was I get the poch was done. What I was questioning was the going to a complete opposite manager with completely the opposite football philosophy.

I think overall with Jose, if he has a squad full of top players and particularly individually talented forwards, everything will be OK. But the moment he detects any kind of weakness in his own side, he will default to his fear based instincts. If you look at the 7 point plan for winning matches that was in his biography, it's there in what we're witnessing on the pitch:

1 The game is won by the team who commits fewer errors.

2 Football favours whoever provokes more errors in the opposition.

3 Away from home, instead of trying to be superior to the opposition, it’s better to encourage their mistakes.

4 Whoever has the ball is more likely to make a mistake.

5 Whoever renounces possession reduces the possibility of making a mistake.

6 Whoever has the ball has fear.

7 Whoever does not have it is thereby stronger.

I don't know if it's possible for there to be a more different football philosophy than Poch's 'be brave' -- but certainly in appointing Mourinho, DL showed that there is not overarching football DNA in his stewardship of Tottenham. We have lurched from one extreme to the other.

This is exactly the type of retrograde shite we’ve seen ever since he’s had the chance to implement his style at the club.

So much for Mourinho 2.0.

You sign a manager like Mourinho then there is only one reason, you want to win things. I was happy with Poch too up until what I witnessed in that final, it was a disappointment. The summer brought hope because signings. It didn't get better and he was sacked and I was upset but also excited. Now there is a winner at the helm and that brings the bonus of board level having no where else left to run - that's for another thread and whatnot.

We now have a proven winner at the helm. If he can't win anything then you'll get back that progressive manager, that proud feeling and the top four feeling again.
