This is depressing football

Ill say it again - we are not getting even remotely near the best of our players particularly our front four

That was a disgrace. I cannot enjoy watching that type of Football. That is the end for me. I may not be able to go to games at the moment but while Mourinho is there I am done with going to games. I am done with buying Spurs merchandise. I just don’t care what Mourinho has won or wins at Spurs. Football is about entertainment.

The point of a new manager is not to continue what was left over, its to show improvement...

One thing ill say is there is fight thats about it
Not if the players - the same players - are toast.

The constant running through all of this - ignoring the Levy shaped elephant in the room that is.

I dont think anyone is ignoring that Levys action or rather inaction is prominent in all this...

The Bournemouth game will say a lot in my view - a team that has shipped in a shedload of goals, we should show a bit more creativity

Trying to limp his way through the season and hoping he gets some dosh in the summer.

That won't happen, so I think we'll be set watching these performances until at least the 21-22 season.

I doubt it will. Like I said, you can put lipstick on a pig (the players) it's still a pig.

A good starting point would be stop playing Sissoko and Lucas. Those changes alone would likely transform our play.

Great to get a win. Hopefully Levy has a contract extension ready to sign for The Chosen One. All hail the Portugeezer.

I think he tried something a little different tonight, but the pace that we played at was the biggest problem. Too many slow passes, loose touches and miscontrols killing any momentum gained by a single good pass. Just one example would be in the second half where Winks and Davies combined to find Son on the left, Son's return was so shocking that Winks had to work to control it and Everton got back in their shape.

I'm not saying Jose is blameless mind, but this still looks like how we were attacking under Poch; slow and ponderous with no cutting edge.

I'm still going to support him until the end of next season. If we haven't turned the corner after a couple of windows then I'll be joining the moans, but I'm not going there yet as he's inherited a mess.

But we are paying Jose £15m a season. The results aren't impressive and neither is the football, we could get the same for a lot less money (Big Sam or Warnock)

The results aren't great, the football is terrible and he can't get a game out of the squads most expensive signing. So that just leaves the team rebuild. Is there any reason to believe Jose can rebuild a team on a limited budget that will include a core of young individuals who will be with us for the next 4 to 5 seasons? If the answer is no, the sooner he's gone and the job is given to someone who can they better

Agree going forwards it’s poor but I think he’s trying to sort out the defence and organisation first as we have no chance getting points and wins conceding 3 a game and defending like we did vs sheff Utd, today was much more solid and we are slowly getting a solid defensive base and organisation to work from, 3/4 of the last matches we’ve limited the opponents to barely any chances and have had 3 clean sheets and conceded one pen to man.u, sheff.utd was poor but Jose knows that and tonight was a good response.

Yes boring game but clean sheet, discipline, focus, effort, organisation, game management and 3pts! Those are things which can lead to success. As I’ve said before it often ain’t pretty but it can be pretty effective. Given how shit and incompetent we were against Sheffield United that was an important performance and win. More and more signs of us becoming a Jose Mouriniho team, I just hope he can get some players he wants.

Loved Toby back at CB for this game, defence was solid, loved Hugo shouting at Son for not tracking back, that’s what we need a bit of fire in our bellies, loved gio playing further forwards, loved the tactical fouls and shithousery especially on Richarlison, it was clear that the tactics were to stop him at all costs and by doing that we stopped them, they had 6 touches in our box, finally I loved the result.

COYS

You can’t really have loved things about that performance. Bullshit.

The results aren't great? Do you mean the footballing results aren't great or the final outcome? You play to win the game or you play to see how many plaudits you're give on a game by game basis? With a squad that seems to be doing to one manager that they did to the last, I'd say we're screwed, but it's not all Mourinho's fault.
