I don't see how that's a valid statement when clearly there's a changing of the old guard and a lingering smell of the old regime.

But yea, let's give Jose a good kicking again and put the blame squarely at his door because there's absolutely no other mitigating factors at play here....
When he came in, he categorically stated that he's inheriting the 3rd best squad in the PL. His words.. He now bemoans everything about this squad. He's be found out unfortunately.

The thing is - youre not just giving him time which I think he needs but youre giving him money - are you comfortable in giving him money to change the squad only for the same crap. Its difficult but I just never saw him as a long term manager but merely someone who could be short term(ish) and perhaps improve us instantly.

Id drop 15m a year on Nagelsmann and go from there... i am pretty sure everyone would be on board with a young progressive manager and would actually give him time (this may come across as me not liking Jose but I actually do but I see him as someone who is at odds with what our club and Levys vision is) - only my view.
These are such key points spot on it’s not just the time but the money and chance to re-shape the squad, if/when we give that to him this summer, if it goes tits up we’ve set ourselves back even further

This is a good point.

I must say, if you earn the 2nd most money for a manager in the world - you get results - even if he plays the U12s.

The reactions are not knee jerk... We've had 3-4 months of this turgid, insipid shite to contend with from a manager who self promotes to be the world's best.. We're being short changed and writing off this season is not an acceptable option.

His trophy haul, with different teams and in different leagues, puts him firmly in with the worlds best managers, past and present.

Not so much self promotion but more stating cold, hard facts.

Yeah because you're just gonna totally ignore our two strikers being injured, had we had both we'd probably be sitting in or around 3rd...

Actually you're right let's just ignore it anyway, carry on rambling nonsense...

Thought this was one of the better shit performances under Mourinho to be honest, just looked toothless in the forward positions and of course, not good enough at the back. We've looked much worse in a handful of other games and it's not like it was shit opposition.

I don't think the football has been good but had we had our full team to select from like I think Wolves did then we would have won IMO.

He will need to be backed regardless of what we think of him, my concern is can we really provide him what he needs to accomplish his vision with us? I don't think he's a manager who can see us through and still raise our level enough if we're lacking in too many areas, like we are now. The RB,LB,CB,CDM,ST(backup) all vitally need addressing.

Not to mention a World Cup winning goalkeeper missing a large chunk of important games and again missing today.

The run for CL qualification will probably be done over the next three fixtures so then hopefully, after that, Jose makes proper use of this shambolic league season and plays players/systems that he wants at the club going forwards.

Those that aren’t good enough need to be phased out over the final 7/8 games and give chances to build partnerships ( Tanguy and Gio ) etc

Everyone and everything has a life cycle. Some more successfull than others but inevitable the cycle comes to an end. This can also apply to the most decorated football manager

I think he’s found out just how shit the squad actually is when you scratch the surface.

I think we will - we need to start preparing for next season now in my view... and Troy wont be ready next season next season... him playing now i think would give him experience.

Jose not playign Troy isnt the reason we are where we are though
Absolutely. There isn't one fix but one would hope that he's integrated in during preseason.

I'd say from an outsiders perspective and certainly media at large, he was right but clearly there were underlying squad issues - highlighted many times by resident ITK'ers - and that he's found out the hard way that the job required is a big task and that's not withstanding Kane's injury.

Hardly think by him saying that he should hung out to dry on it, Christ. What did you want him to say when he took over? "Let's get to 40 points and go from there?", blimey....

It can, but his trophy haul at Utd would suggest that Mourinho is’nt finished with being successful quite yet.

Whether he wins trophies with us is still to be seen, but writing him off after just a few months in charge of a squad where the rot had well and truely set in is madness.

Whatever it is, I think that as @Shadydan pointed out, people will find it a lot less frustrating if they just expect this for the rest of the season. If it's like this at the same time next season then people will be justified in feeling concerned about Mourinho even if Levy still backs him.

oh yea, i fully expect it for the rest of the season.

personally not expecting much to change next year. can’t see Jose getting the required funds to sort this mess out. but here’s hoping.

Absolutely. It’s all about FA Cup for me. Hopefully we get through midweek and there’s a couple of shocks in the same round too. Favourable draws, cup sets etc etc who knows
This isn't directly aimed at you, you mentioned the FA Cup and this rant occurred after the fact .... (I have to preface it like this because people)

I hope we go out (save me the angst and the ratings)

This season needs to end now. No more cup games. No more replays. Nothing. Close up shop and end it.

It's been an unmitigated disaster from start to this point now. The positives are outweighed by 101 negatives and, I keep saying it, if the people who post on this forum are a measure of the support of this club, it's deep set.

I get it, people don't like Mourinho. Fine. Some of the rubbish being spouted though is just stuff that contradicts stuff that's already been posted. I don't think that matters. There are 'fans' that want us to fail. There are fans that dislike Levy and want us to fail. Now they dislike both the blokes in charge.

We're West Ham but without the carpet around the pitch. Wonders will never cease.

Except none of the “points” you make are true.

Not sure which game you where watching, we had majority of possession, but did nothing with it and got punished very easily when we lost it.

It’s okay though, Jose said we didn’t deserve to lose, so roll on Wednesday.

Firstly - I did wonder why he didn’t try Parrott earlier today - that’s has been his only mistake since arriving in my opinion

secondly - he hasn’t had that fucking squad you’ve quoted - he’s missed key members since his arrival

so let’s Consider every part please
