Maybe I have selective memory but I recall a fair number of people saying he'd never make it and wasn't a realistic option for the future, especially when he was out on loan. They usually beat him with the same stick opposition fans use: "doesn't have the look of a top player", "isn't especially fast, strong etc". The worst was when someone said he had a weak shot. Who on earth was that guy watching?Sorry but what is with the rewriting of history with Kane? Loads of people were not writing him off, at all. Kaz Hirai did, famously - and his quote was in a load of peoples’ sigs, which shows how ridiculous everybody thought his writing Kane off was
Nobody quite knew how good he’d become, but I never ever heard a single person say we should get rid of him.
Can't see how he can make the jump to be better than winks
Considering he has always been better than Winks when they were playing together it's not really a bold prediction.
Can’t agree with that. Winks has stood out against the best sides in the world Onomah hasn’t !
What exactly are you disagreeing with?
Coming up through the different ages levels, Onomah was always the better player. Ergo it isn't much of a leap of faith to think he may be the better player. He just hasn't been given a chance at his position like Winks has.
Saying that Grealish spends a lot of time on the ground is one of the facts in the play off final another fact is that 70% of the fouls committed against Villa were made on Grealish and that is because he was targeted by Fulham players as the main danger to their aspirations.I find him a fantastic player and would love him at our club as there would be more chance to blossom as he would not be the main target and thus give him more freedom to release his talents
One thing on Onomah is he was unplayable and the catalyst of the u21s winning the the championship last summer. He made everything tick and was brilliant. He was getting likened to a youthful Dembele due to how he glided by players. I don't understand how people can say anything regarding our players as the amount of stick as @Hercules said HK got was savage (not loads from our fans granted) Then the same with Poch for putting Dier in CM and he became our rock and made us solid again in the midfield. He was under Poch’s management for 2 years then loaned out. Doesn’t pose well for him after two years of coaching he wasn’t deemed ready to compete in our team.

Winks left him behind a couple of years ago and has progressed since, not sure Josh has advanced in that time.Considering he has always been better than Winks when they were playing together it's not really a bold prediction.
