To those who continually support Levy like sheep. This pretty much sums it up from somebody on twitter.

“”The Kounde deal is great for Levy and the board.

They’ll continue to target players like him with money they’re not willing to spend because they know the player will reject us.

It makes the fans think “Levy is finally showing ambition” and it works every single time.””

Good player who would help us but if he does not want to come, then fair enough. Agree with this - while I understand it´s not technically allowed to approach the player before talking to his club, I´d assume that there are ways to figure out whether a player actually wants to join before spending days discussing transfer fee specifics only to then be dismissed by the player

Seems so odd this, why negotiate for days/weeks only for the player to say no. Surely that’s found early on if the players interested

I think some of you need some therapy. That's proper tin foil hat thinking.

Maybe he was interested a few weeks ago but changed his mind when others came in or as he dug into plans, or was just using us to flush out other offers / a better contract

Happens all the time in business

Reports of a deal agreed. Subject to him wanting to come to us!

LOL that's old news. He's already rejected us. And everyone has already moved on to calling Levy a c*nt for showing ambition and targeting him in the first place (even though Paratici is in charge of these things....)

Every other team could make the same sort of argument.
Yes and no. Yes every team lost points but failed to hold on. This will happen to everyone. The point is we did it a lot and if we'd have managed to just hold on in a few of them it would have been the difference.

You’re missing the point. It’s not Levy’s fault he doesnt want to come, but the same source (who is close to Paratici) saying the deal is agreed to then saying he doesnt want to come in the space of 12 hours sounds like pure spin from Spurs. Levy is well known for the “we tried” and ultimately failed spin. But you can on being a little Levy pet if you wish.
Calm down love, I'm not a Levy pet. I haven't missed any point either. Look at the state of your other recent post in this thread.

Just a weird take but because you obviously have a problem with Levy it suits your agenda to talk about it like that.

Ok let me rephrase my point. Every team could say if we tweaked that part of our game we could have improved our season/position. For us it was defending and holding onto leads, for others it would have been other aspects.

Can’t Mendes get involved? Tell him sign for us or he’s going to move him to West Ham or something.

I think he would be mad to join us.

Hes a top talent who has the ability to be the very best and we are notoriously impossible when selling top players. You could argue we should be like that but if you're not winning trophies then players would be far less likely to consider us a stepping stone.

He can hold out for a Madrid and get the money and the trophies.
I'm not sure we are notoriously impossible are we? I can't think of a top player we didn't let go to a bigger club when they wanted to go, particularly to Real Madrid.

That's been Levy's MO from the moment ENIC bought Spurs. I remember when we supposedly tried to sign Rivaldo, who turned us down but then Levy's makes public a letter written by him explaining why he turned us down. Kounde was never going to join us, and why would he especially when the likes of Chelsea and The Mancs have also been linked, if I was him and had the choice between those 2 teams and Spurs, I wouldn't choose Spurs. We are never going to win the big trophies while ENIC owns this club it's that simple.

We'll see, it's a good opportunity to see if the Paratici effect makes a difference. Have those two clubs been into him seriously by the way, I take your point but I'm not sure that's his choice right now.
