If he goes to Napoli, it is almost a slap in the face to Insigne, who was waiting to take over for Cavani. I would jump at the possibility of getting him if Damiao goes there.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

I agree, i have high hopes for Insigne in the national team, looks like a great prospect.

Cavani is a central striker while Lorenzo Insigne is a winger/wide striker, so an eventual arrival of Leandor won't be a slap in the face of Insigne, as they're not competing for the same spot. The guy's 164 cm and will never make it as a CF, not even in Seri A.

Wouldn't even pay 20... These clubs are delusion about how a players stock works. He's been injured; hasn't had a great season yet they think he commands that?

12 - 14 million is a risk for Leandro currently. 20 is pie in the sky.

If he came, I don't think there would have been a greater weight of expectation on a player in the history of football.

How many times have we enquired? Gotta be at least twice every transfer window for the last 3 years. What a farce :D

That said, this is probably bollocks.

What if nobody is actually bothered whether he signs or not then there really is no expectation at all and he may do well. He may also flop, but that's a risk I for one think we should take. No more pissing about, just bring in a striker and freshen it up.

Then again, I could see him playing very well in a World Cup year in a team with two of his countrymen (Sandro & Paulinho) and one of the world's fastest rising stars in Gareth Bale.

I completely agree. People are worried about spending money on Benteke. But at least he has proven that he can score very healthily in the PL.
