I used to get very frustrated by them but haven't given a shit for a long time. However, due to the frustrations of many fans currently, I'm finding most posts are being picked apart and I'm then ending up in regular debates. I haven't got the time for this so it makes me want to reduce the amount I post on here. So an off topic rating when I'm talking about Trossards agent in his thread got my back up. I'm sure it was just a case of fat fingers but with quite a few posts, you get the odd frustrating rating and after a while it can become extremely annoying.
That’s completely fair mate but it’ll 99% of the time be fat fingers from someone so try to ignore it as the more the merrier in terms of you and the other ITK’s updates :) you legends !!!

Interesting re. trossards agent and I get why people think the behaviour is bad but he’s really just trying to do the best for his client, Trossard is 28, this is his chance to get one last big move, he could move now and play the rest of the season for a CL team and/or win a trophy perhaps, sometimes in football agents do need to be a bit selfish to push through a move for their client.

Either way however the opportunity has come about I hope we’re seriously considering it as he offers us something exciting and different, he’d give us that extra attacking depth and creativity that we need, he has PL experience and is versatile and should be attainable at a reasonable price, far more pros than cons for me.

You’re one of only four regular ITK posting on SC
So to be rated ‘Off topic’ for sharing news (or even just educated opinion) can only be fat fingers (or idiots that need ignoring)

so please don’t let it affect you or make you consider posting less. The overwhelming majority are interested and supportive

I don't not like how he's going about with all this, so I'm not sure I want that in my squad.

I think some people are so anti-ENIC that they'll moan about anybody. Trossard is an excellent player, as the numbers show and anybody with eyes can see. Has a Diogo Jota to Liverpool feel about it. I don't love that he's sulking and pushing for a move, but Modric did the same when leaving us, and I don't think Real Madrid have lived to regret that have they. I'd be delighted with Trossard.

Is it possible in theory for mods to disable ratings on approved itk posters in the transfer rumours forum? The rating system feels irrelevant to information brought to us in good faith, positive or negative.

Trossard isn't a player I'd pick to play for Spurs but he's currently a better option that Lucas and a better player that knowone who we've had for the last month or I'd be up for signing but nit as the only attacking player we sign I'd still potentially want another option on top

And this is the exact reason we are where we are. Stuck trying to move on players that were never the required level or were the wrong fit and "could do a job".

Good point. If they can give them a fancy blue background they presumably can remove ratings options.

That would make it much harder to find the posts with info.

Nah, the neg reps need to be there for everyone and we all say stupid things that deserve to be picked up on. This was clearly just a case of fat fingers and hardly something to change the system for unlike the optimistic rating which was clearly being abused by some.

false link. I'm not generally impressed with Levy's work on the football side but wouldn't mind Trossard. I'm hardly the only one.

Modric, Bale did down tools, and while Kane didn't he did lose focus. Many footballers are like this, from what I can make out.

Yes it was just a case of fat fingers but then when chatting about it some other poster decided to rate a following post off-topic and one certain poster who is probably the most negative on here unsurprisingly rated a post dislike but I'm not wasting time on them. It is what it is and for people who have mentioned the blue background etc over the past few months, I don't have one because although I have been sharing more behind the scenes recently with the mods due to it's sensitivity, I hear far less in relation to transfers than Trix and Herc do.

The jump in fee from a Trossard to a real top level player is massive.

Kvaratskhelia is my choice for the summer but we have to be realistic for a January window and Trossard is a quality player that will help us in multiple positions for the remainder of the season.

If he comes, I think Trossard could offer us something different up top whilst being complementary to the front 3. He likes to move in from wide areas, looks good on link up play with quick one/twos, and is known to score with late runs into the box. At the right price, he’d be a good addition with proven premier league experience.

Think we've missed the boat on Kvaratskhelia. Scored a goal and two assists last night in the 5-1 drubbing of Juventus. His value to Napoli will have sky rocketed.

I think Trossard is a good player, and in the short term I think he could be a useful asset, but clearly not a long term, taking the team to the next level type of signing. I suppose I view him similarly to Malinovsky while that link was active, albeit they’re not exactly like-for-like.

If Brighton do trigger their option to extend his contract for a further year to prevent him leaving for nothing in the summer (and perhaps a little out of spite!) then they may be open to a loan deal. I think I’d be okay with him as a 6 month punt with an option that could be triggered if he really performs well.

The conduct of the agency representing him is obviously a bit off-putting too, another reason why a loan would be more appealing than an outright buy. That being said, is that actually a better idea than steering clear with no deal at all?

Napoli probably value him at €100m now. We dropped the ball big time with him and Kim.

He’s been phenomenal all season. Paratici got that one spot on. Supposedly we were talking to Rubin but didn’t want to pay the 20 mil.

Whilst I rate him, Trossard feels like a massive red flag now. Which can only mean we’re gonna sign him ?
