If you want to complain Lee's cross, you should complain Lennon's cross first.
He's fine. We have more pressing areas of our team to concern us. If we happen to replace him with a better left back then fine, but if we don't I have no problem holding onto him. I don't wish to see him at RB again though.
"not really that good is he?"
Yes; you're just wrong.
Probably the most consistent performer we've had in our squad. And I don't mean 'acceptable', I mean just plain ol' good. Yeah he hasn't scored a rocket, but the reason he's not in the headlines, and not in the thoughts of us post-game is because he's just had another good game, and done his job.
Compared with BAE, he's the Pele of fullbacks and with Bale being preferred in more advance positions, I'm more than happy for Lee to stay as our left back.
He's a sound sound player - which is what you want for that position.
In the norm it's correct that FB's show outside players inside, it sends them into traffic and cuts down the space they have to run in.
There are obviously exceptions but overall it's the correct way to play.

Yeah, of course it is!!!!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
Fella, that was fucking funny.
Here are some basics for you:
http://www.juniorsoccercoach.com/public/602.cfm?sd=6
"We prefer our players to show the opponent outside, preventing a more direct attack on goal. Therefore, when the full back moves out to close down and put pressure on the ball carrier they do so opening their body up so that they are angled, inviting the opponent to use the area that you are allowing them."
"The key to defending an attack down the wings is to hold up the opponent and either force them to make a back pass or if it's your preference show them outside down the channel."
The article then goes on to explain when you may be correct. But by no means is it "the norm". If you watch any of the top four the defenders take the wingers right the way down to the corner flag. Evra ( who I think is the best left back in the league) is great at it.
That website is a beauty

The only thing that is right on there is that FB's should hold up the play
And the way to do that is to send them backwards or inside to where the traffic is.
Wingers are generally pretty quick and unless you have pace to burn yourself (like Evra) the last place you want them is going down the outside of you.
No your right what teams really want is for their FB's to be skinned down the outside and for the opposition to be getting in crosses from deep positions from where they are far more difficult to defend.
