Levy out, that's a given.

But how can conte survive this? He might be an elite manager, but only if you buy him a fresh new starting 11 that fits his system. How is that elite? What about working with what you have and make the best out of it?

That is what elite is really about.

Leicester toying with us.

Ups and downs, narrow losses and results going against us - I can live with that. But this was humiliation. And it was deserved. And he had nothing to counter it.

We are not a bankrolled club, wealthy yes, but not willing to splash the cash.
Then appoint accordingly.

This is tiresome.

Why are people instantly saying Kane is gone if Conte leaves? Maybe Kane is also fed up with Conte as some of us are.
Teddy Sheringham was saying this week that Kane loves Conte. And I believe Kane and Sheringham play a fair bit of golf together(?) so that’s pretty close to the horse’s mouth.

Put your agenda away for 30 seconds. How you think any manager would be any better with the clowns we have in defence beggars belief. But yeah let's change the manager for the 397th time eh, it will work this time ?

A manager would get more out of the current players yes. We may not be perfect and wouldnt win the league with the current players, but we are better than a 4-1 defeat. Any other manager would have had us create a chance or two at 3-1 down, for starters - that is better than what was mustered up here.

Blaming the defence is fine and it is one thing, but when you lose 4-1 without creating, then its bigger than just the defence. We have one of the best strikers in the world and asking him to drop 30 yards deeper to search for the ball so he can play around the corner balls is just playign percentages.

Sad, people will get on the Levy thing again but every one of the players were terrible, Kulu, Kane Son, Porto. 1-11 they were shite and that is on them and the manager.

I just have no idea what they were doing today, almost looked like they'd been drugged.

Easily our worst performance in the Conte era. Nothing remotely redeemable about that performance. Out coached and out performed in all aspects.

Very embarrassing and that’s with just listening to this game on the radio. Switched off at half time. It’s just not working root and branch. Harry Kane’s achievement last week was lovely but it’s so painful going through this cycle again and again. Who knows what the heck is going on but we can all see our defence is poor and style of play is a borefest. If we can get something going again in the cups and who knows if we turn up again for a push to the top 4 (relying more on over teams to slip up) would love Conte to finish on a high note. Love the man but not his style of football. This club is so Jekyll & Hyde. No one has the answers but we can all agree the same old let us down and this has been the case under Poch, Jose, Nuno and Conte.

Why should we be bothered about someone who doesnt really give a damn about the job and is quite conditional on him staying. Its conditional isnt it - its absurd. This is why some want Poch back, someone who has an emotional attachment to the club, which he clearly has. We all need to have that connection again with the club, right now, we dont.

except when he’s flirting with Man Utd, Madrid and Barcelona you mean?

I doubt many are saying that now. He will leave because he needs to win trophies and Spurs is not the right club. For his pedigree, he deserves to be somewhere better. Even if he signs for Manchester United, I will not blame him as he should be looking out for himself now.

Who would have thought at the start of the season, that by the end of it, Chelsea, Liverpool and ourselves would be floundering in mid-table. Magic of the Premier League, right?

Unlike us both Chelsea and Liverpool have had an injury crisis in defence, midfield and attack. Our problem is that we’ve once again failed to resolve our defensive issues.

What is there to be positive about, out of interest?
Today? Not much but we bit City last weekend.
We are what we are at the moment, around about the champions league places is our level.
We are a work in progress, I personally don’t care if Conte stays or goes. What I do want is us to continue to move forward and for that we need to spend and continue spending. We all know Levy is as tight as they come and that’s why I feel we need Conte to demand the spend.
The subs today were baffling tbh and we do look poor.
As I said previously though it just takes a second delay from a CB in playing a pass to knock a whole pattern of play on the head. Son, Kulu and Kane looked awful today but it’s because by the time they are getting the ball they have made 2/3 movements and they have no space to play.

Completely agree.
I genuinely can't see any evidence of any coaching, thought, improvement since the end of last season.
We have become a really nice Spa facility. Loads of nice buildings, leisure facilities and restaurants.
But no development in first team playing patterns and performances.
Indeed.

Too many of these players are embarassing themselves frequently, but it can't be much fun coming to your work every day while having to listen to that torn-faced whiner describe how he's really too good for all this and that you're various shades of shit.

Doesn't look like fun.

That was fookin poor.

Barely able to pass to feet. Lethargic in possession. Seemingly no plan or structure.

Fookin embarrassing.

It’s 2023 and we started a back 3 of Tanganga, Dier and Davies. No need to over evaluate what went wrong, the answer is right there

Levy: Let's go through 4 managers and 6 transfer windows to find out whether Dier and Davies are good enough to replace Toby and Jan.

Spurs fans: Sack the manager.
Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner! Amazed at how so few on here can actually see it. Conte has made some mistakes for sure. But our team leaders the guys who've been here for years, putting in that performance time and again, costing manager after manager their job are to blame.

They just shrug off these shit performances knowing that it's the gaffer who'll take the blame in the end. They have grown far too comfortable at this club.

Well if last week was our best performance of the season then this is by far our worst performance of the season.
Nobody has had a good game and we didn’t deserve to get anything out of the game but nevertheless their last 3 goals were down to individual mistakes, by Dier - poor positioning and an inability to close down and tackle a player in a dangerous scoring position.
Having said that the roots of this defeat can be laid higher up. After that abysmal first half performance it is incomprehensible that there were no substitutions at half. Even worse that the first, tactical, substitution wasn’t until the 75th minute despite the fact there was no great improvement at the start of the 2nd half.
Which brings us to the other culprit in this defeat. How long does Levy need watching our performances to realize that we have needed new CBs for what seems an eternity. That we only began making enquires about a CB in the last few days of the January transfer window is disgraceful. How long does it take to realize that our painfully slow squad overhaul is detrimental to the team’s performances and their league position.
A poor day at the office for everyone at the club.
