So they win all these medals and the club don't even have to pay it back. Not good, I wish they had to pay off that billion and go back to the Kerry Dixon and electric fence days

I’ve never quite grasped how they owed him £1.5bn and stayed within FFP. Interesting how loyal all their new found glory hunting fans would be. Interesting how this period will be viewed, will they be a tainted brand. Will sponsors and players think nah I don’t wanna be associated with that. As they say Mud sticks. Their revenue is massively linked to onfieid success. For all levy faults at least he’s built one of best infrastructure in Europe. As long as we stay in PL we will always produce huge revenue. Chelsea don’t have that security, a drop off on the pitch will just cause a vicious circle of dropping revenue.

I think they will be bought by a mysterious Israeli investor named Abraham Romanovich who will continue to bankroll them.

lets face it, what hes done will be considered one of the perfect crimes, but when society sorts its shit out and looks back on the chelsea years episode of the premier league, it will be seen through rather more cynical eyes and for what it really was…

I'm really confused. This either stinks or
it really fucking stinks.

I'll believe it when I see it, but the statement had a lot of ambiguity over "I will not be asking for any loans to be repaid" and "net proceeds".

That's before you get into the concept of "charitable foundation", and funnelling all "proceeds" through it is, potentially, a laundering process to ensure that the sale is seen as altruism, when it's distracting from the sanctions.

After all, charitable foundations can skim plenty off "donations" through "legitimate avenues".

Fuckers will probably claim gift aid on it, too

Just been reading how by relocating in 2020 to Monaco Radcliffe saved an approx 4bn in tax.

that tax saving more than buys Chelsea without impacting on his wealth in the slightest.
Wasn't he the **** that was a massive Brexiteer and then pulled the plug on making the new Land Rover in the Uk due to it then being costly?

High brow media not giving Roman much sympathy ( obviously rightly so ) will be very interesting in years to come how this period in Chelsea history will be painted. A glorious episode or a haul dirty blood money trophies.

Good riddens

Once the clubs sold be sure to embrace the day . Roman walking through those doors has been a tough 19 years , but they might believe they are now self sustainable but it will wear off .

mike Ashley fancy buying Chelsea ?

Can anyone clarify - if he were to sell Chelsea for profit would all the money be seized /frozen. Also would the dedt repaid to himalso be seized.

If all above yes- then he might as well give if away and save face. Its not a gesture of good will, its defiance to the end.
