His contract should have been terminated at latest 1 day after the video came out, continuing to employ him like nothing has happened is genuinely mind boggling.

I don't understand why they don't just release him and let him build his career elsewhere.
People don't seem to understand that whilst he hasn't been prosecuted, it's not a sign of his innocence.

The whole thing smacks of controlling behaviour.

I'd say I can't comprehend this, but I absolutely can.

But this just shows that all the ****s that defend Partey, Mendy, Ronaldo etc by "you don't know what happened" are full of shit and just don't consider assault a problem. Because they don't consider women as people. Because we heard what happened. She records him saying he doesn't care what she wants, he's going to have sex with her. "Evidence not available to the public" - unless it's "we were performing a play and here's the script", it doesn't change anything. He's a rapist. He assaulted her.

And they'll dress it up as "he deserves a second chance". Him not getting jail time was another chance. His victim taking him back was another chance. There's no reason to believe he's been rehabilitated because he's not had to do any fucking rehabilitation. Yes, people deserve second chances. But they need to fucking earn it, and no one "deserves" to play for Manchester United.

They've shown they don't give a single fuck about the safety of women or any moral standing above "try to win". And what for? For a forward who's not played for eighteen months? In the hope they win something over sportswashers? What a disgusting message to send. I hope they never know peace.

So you're bringing him back but you don't want/ think it's appropriate for him to be involved with the club. So they're not just evil, they're cowards too.

That’s not a good look for United is it. Yes the charges were dropped, but we all heard the recording etc. They’ll take an absolute kicking from the rape and domestic abuse charities and rightly so.

Maybe they'll chemically castrate the little **** as a gesture of goodwill to women that have suffered domestic violence. I think it would send the right message. If he comes back he deserves the most savage onslaught from opposition fans, and so do Utd for sanctioning it.

Because he is potentially worth 10s of £m and is a club asset. Not saying I think they should keep and play him, the guy is a **** and I wouldn't want him anywhere near our club but business is business.

From a moral perspective in the ‘real world’ if he was Dave from Darlington who had a half decent job with a reputable company he wouldn’t go back to work, there’s no way he’d want to show his face ever again with his fellow colleagues.
Even if he had the cahoonas to say he was coming back his HR Dept would have him out the door quicker than he could blink.
Yet another demonstration as to how football is so far removed from the real world.
Absolutely disgraceful decision from his employer.

Overmars had to leave Ajax over sexual harassment claims. Ten Hag said "It's a romantic thought to return to Ajax together one day. We have been very successful together. It's hard to say if it will happen, but it could happen."

I find ten haag to be a bit of an odd character, imo
