Sancho would do well to avoid them like the fucking plague., have another season ripping it up at Dortmund and get a move to Barça or Real

This. He's be far better staying where he is for now. If he carries in doing what he's doing he'll have far better offers than Man Utd footballing wise at least. I suppose the counter argument would be if they're willing to pay him some crazy amount of money on a long term contract, there's something to be said about striking while the iron's hot. There's always a chance his form drops off a cliff like Alli or he breaks a leg or something, in which case he'd potentially have blown his chance to really cash in.

United think Dortmund are stupid.

Dortmund DONT have to sell, Sancho will only get better and more clubs will be in for him next summer so they'll still get their 100m or whatever.

Dortmund also would need to replace him, itll be pushing it for them to do that (6 days left).

They told United they wanted a satisfactory bid by mid-August and United failed to come up with one.

Dortmund aren't Southampton or Leicester

Got a good kick out of the United mob on twitter jumping on Reguilon and saying they dodged a bullet after his initial error only to be made like idiots after 90 minutes.

What are the odds that United end up offering more than the original £108 million Dortmund wanted for Sancho. They look to be getting really desperate now. It’s kind of pathetic.

Yeah I was discussing this yesterday, you just know they are going to end up paying the full amount and wasting a summer where they could have had him in and settled into the squad by now.

I think everyone knows how Ed Woodward's mind works. He's just an Alibaba Levy really. They know that he'll break and offer what they originally wanted too late, so they have told them a deadline. Woodward has just done his predictable pattern and they've just put their foot down.

It wouldn't surprise me if they ended up paying a disgusting amount for a player that's simply not worth it. You can sort of see it for England - he's good, but no more (imo) that a few others in his peer group. He's done really well for Dortmund, stats wise, but he's by no means complete. They're basically going to pay a 5 star player price for a player that's still 3 stars with the potential for 5, if that makes sense.

Is this the classic Woodward, negotiate all window stating you will not meet the price quoted.

Get to the end of the window, pay it anyway.

Hope he does spend the week sorting this, whilst Sancho is an incredible player. He is not a signing that addresses their biggest needs.

Dortmund will say 'Nein Englisch, for you zee war is over.'

Which, translating from German means that it's not happening because we have no time to bring in a replacement and everyone knows we have €120 million burning a hole in our back pocket

Now Van De Beeks agent is laying into them. He's only just arrived through the door!!

Having said that, what did he expect? United will always choose Pogba and Fernandes ahead of him.

Sometimes it's like this kind of example that makes you think twice about the way Levy does business. He is so resolute and draws the line fucking clear.

Levy always has a price he will not go to and he will just move on. While we can slag him off many times over the years that a few more millions we could have gotten so and so, but he had those bargaining chips gathered as a result of these supposedly 'failed transfers' that clubs now wouldn't hold us to ransom thinking we will ultimately pay to what they want.

Woodward will never be able to bargain anymore. Clubs knew he will pay up no matter what if he is desperate. And it is really getting silly now, truly a laughing stock. Leicester and Sporting are still laughing at their statement accounts.

Anyone else finds Sky sports’ utter desperation for Man Utd to sign Sancho weird?

I just saw them say it is a risk for dortmund not to take the £70m bid for him from them. A risk, a risk??? It’s completely the opposite, he’ll be worth more next year when hopefully clubs‘ finances will be back to normal and more teams will be able to bid for him.

They bang on about it every day. Sure it might be Woodward just doing his negotiate all window then pay the asking price but dortmund aren’t palace or Leicester.

Yeah it’s embarrassing, it’s like they are so cringingly desperate to make the United fans feel good about things. It’s really really weird.

Let's just say my Utd supporting mate wasn't too happy waking up to the news about Cavani.

[04/10, 09:39] Phil: Didn't want to wake up to that
[04/10, 09:42] Phil: Bonkers mate
[04/10, 09:44] Phil: We are a joke
[04/10, 09:44] Phil: No ifs buts or maybes
[04/10, 09:44] Phil: Fuck it - going back to bed
[04/10, 09:46] Phil: There saying it's not Sanchez money - yeah mate, it is if he only starts 14 times. 21 and 14 games in the last 2 seasons.
[04/10, 09:48] Phil: Jesus H Christ
[04/10, 09:48] Phil: I give up
[04/10, 09:48] Phil: They have no clue
[04/10, 09:49] Phil: I fucking guarantee he wasn't on Ole's list and that useless sack of shit, Woody or Judge had him offered
[04/10, 09:55] Phil: I thought they'd managed to suck any excitement out of the window, putting a bid in for Sancho, 50 days past Dortmund's cut off date, but now this
[04/10, 09:59] Phil: I was gonna chance a McDonald's breakfast, but my appetite has just wavered a little
[04/10, 10:05] Phil: I just cracked open a beer. Fuck it!
[04/10, 10:23] Phil: Club drives you to drink
[04/10, 11:09] Phil: Lost all interest, mate
[04/10, 11:13] Phil: The only news I wanna read today is "Cavani fails medical"
[04/10, 11:16] Phil: You have to laugh - gets offered around Europe and there are no takers, but we pay the nob who phoned us, 10m to secure his services!
[04/10, 11:18] Phil: I can feel my squeaky "I don't fucking get it" voice coming on

Starting to feel sorry for Guy Havord, stuck out in Dortmund with their officials repeatedly telling him nothings going to happen with Sancho.
