Imagine what a top coach could do with that squad. So much talent.

May the Ole reign continue.

If they sack him and get Conte, which they should have done in the summer, its another top 4 spot gone. Not that we’ll probably be bothering that part of the table without a lot of luck.

I do however think Ronaldo's entrance has complicated matters. Greenwood was firing before he came and starting to shine, has hardly scored since. Sancho needed to come in and understand his place in the team whilst also feeling like he was the main man. Yet they've essentially done everything to pander to Ronaldo and I think it's having a detrimental to the rest of their attackers.
It'll be even harder to reconcile these issues when Rashford's recovered from his surgery.

Right after Rashford's equaliser. I'd probably hate Goldbridge if he supported Spurs but I find him hilarious from afar.

Will OGS last the season? Considering the backing he’s had so far in the transfer market you’d have to think he’s under massive pressure to deliver something more than just top four.

I'm convinced he won't last the season. If they don't go through in the CL I think he'll be out before Christmas.

United should have sacked him at the end of last season really. They could have got Conte in the summer and he’d have made them real contenders.

OGS might not be the guy - none of my United supporting mates think so, as one puts it "if we win anything it will be in spite of him" - but I personally think a lot of the problem is having too many options and all football fans should take a look at that and maybe rethink their expectations on signings and squad sizes etc.

If you have that many options available for every week then you're under pressure to keep them all happy and getting game time, which means potentially disrupting the team getting into rhythm and often shoehorning players in and unbalancing the team. It's a fine balancing act, most fans bemoan their teams being too light and want more, but equally having 20(+) established names to keep happy and find a place for causes problems in itself.

At the end of the day any of Ronaldo, Rashford, Martial, Sancho, Greenwood, Fernandes, Pogba are offering you zip in the defensive aspect. If you're accommodating three/four/five of them every week you're going to be playing open, "lottery" football and even with that amount of individual talent you will come unstuck plenty of weeks. You can do a cup playing like that, but not the league.

Absolutely

I questioned Sancho's signing multiple times to my United supporting brother because with Rashford and Greenwood mostly performing better from the wide areas, they needed to have a space that he could ready make his own. I feel that when you make a big signing like that you need to make that player feel really special and that he is a key player in the team. Ronaldo's arrival overshadowed that.

With Ronaldo coming in its just complicated matters further and it will have put Greenwood's nose out of joint as he was playing well and starting to come into his own, since then he's scored just the once I think.

It is a bit similar to us last year, we had 6 players vying for 3 spots. Yet, Kane and Son were always going to occupy those spots which meant it was impossible to keep the others happy.

What we got was 4 players constantly being in and out of the squad and no set rhythm cause Jose ditches players after one poor performance.

It's actually funny what's happening at United cause Solskjaer was brought in to clear the decks and slim down the squad, getting them on side. Jose and Van Gaals squads were way to bloated and players egos were getting hurt due to it. He's essentially fallen into the same trap despite initially doing well with the squad.

I’m sure he’ll get their shit together before they play us. The only thing he has to do is play a stable central midfield but that means dropping Pogba from central midfield. If they do that then it will all come together for them. Let’s just hope they don’t work it out by the end of the month and Ronaldo looks as uninterested against us as he did yesterday against Leicester.

They finally sign Sancho but then they ruin it by getting emotional and bringing back Ronaldo who now is nothing more than an elite poacher.

Not signing an upgrade in midfield is laughable and I hope they crumble.

I doubt it is OGS buying up players like Sancho, and particularly Ronaldo.

Manager has to play the hand that is dealt to him - and admittedly he should be doing better. But, I don't think OGS is responsible for the squad makeup.

Uniteds transfer acumen has been questionable for some time.
They like an ego signing, rather than looking to what their squad actually needs.
At least we seem to have addressed this issue at Spurs over the past few windows and the addition of Paratici.
