There's a cat in Kurt's kitchen what is he gonna do,
There's a cat in Kurt's kitchen what is he gonna do,
He's gonna beat that cat, that's what he's gonna do,
he's gonna beat that cat.

You could change the tweet to say "Checks West Ham line-up and sees Zouma has been selected". Horrible club

They’ve really opened up a can of worms by starting him last night. It was already front page news, but now it’s everywhere, tv, radio, twitter. And instead of just pillorying Zouma, the public and press are going after the club too, as in picking him they’ve in a sense taken on some of the responsibility.

Really bad move.

Yeah even if they club/Moyes were purely cynical about it and had no intention of properly punishing him, dropping him for a home game against Watford is about as soft a fixture as they could've got away with.

They could've just "punished" him with a one game ban (which is nowhere near enough) and it would've at least shown a small amount of integrity and quietened down the story.

By starting him it makes the club look pathetic and keeps the story in the headlines for longer.

I hope they lose some sponsors over this - probably the one way that would actually hurt them (other than everyone thinking they're a clown show).

When these things happen I do wonder what the real repercussions are.

After the Suarez/Evra incident Liverpool's name was dragged through the mud. But the partisanship of football meant Liverpool fans rallied around their player and outside a suspension there was no punishment to the club. No loss of sponsorship or anything.

I see the same happening here. Outside of prosecution for the player there is no real repercussion to the club. A large proportion of their fans already seem to be supporting him and opposing fans would rather sing "funny songs" than give him a hard time.

I am not sure what anyone other than West Ham can do about what happened so I feel it incumbent upon them to take the action they see fit... and they did. Regardless of how little class the hierarchy at WHU have, I actually thought Moyes had a bit more about him. He totally mis-read this situation IMHO by picking Zouma to play.

A soft fixture that they were lucky to win.

Their position in the top 4 (even top 7) is hanging by a thread.

They have a very thin squad and have been punching far above their weight this season with some extremely lucky 1 - Nil's.

They need Zouma to play in order to stand even the remotest chance of getting top 4/7

So it is blatantly obvious that they are so morally void, so far from reality and so F-Word arrogant that they will play that vile piece of shit regardless of the ramifications.

Further action needs to be taken by the PL and FA or before long will see players like Greenwood first on Team Sheets.

I would suggest that their rented ground is re-possessed and donated to the Battersea Cats Home. Jesus don't even donate, they could even afford it as the rent is F. All/

Could even have Moyes raking out the cat litter

It depends on the club/the crime and so many other things. I mean Rath Rovers were losing sponsors for signing Goodwillie and that helped force their hand. Whilst massively different sizes of club and all that, it does happen. So if this stays in the news long enough or hits with the right people, this could potentially lose them Sponsors and that'd be what they react to.

Thing is in this football business it's all about money and what happens on the pitch. Moyse answer postgame pretty much shows that they don't care about the morality of it, just if they can do well on the pitch. If a sponsor dropped them they'd drop Zouma. Until that happens they won't. Which sucks but that's this business for ya

Did anyone see also that a cat invaded the pitch at Sheffield wednesday in protest?

How random that a cat got onto the pitch and it happened around this zouma incident!

Someone must have taken it to ground and done it deliberately surely?

That would have been glorious if it was at the West Ham game.

Blimey what an almighty screw up by West Ham they’ve made situation x10 worse. mayor of London wading in wouldn’t be surprised if it’s brought up in PM questions today. West Ham really didn’t calculate that half the country love their pets and majority of the other half know right from wrong when they see it. West Ham decision just amplifies everything morally repugnant in the game. Hard to know what was actually worse what Zouma did or their decision to just ignore it.

Have D&R said what action they are taking against his brother yet? Will look even worse if a club from the lower tiers take a harder line than West Ham did considering what part both brothers played in this.

I'm not going to give the bloke credit for apologising. I have no time for people that abuse animals.

Why would you give him credit?

He's not sorry for what he did, he's sorry he got caught doing it. Or to be more precise, his PA has issued an apology to try and save face.

****.
