Alex Ferguson has revealed he would have chosen Luka Modric or Jack Wilshere as his Player of the Year. Tottenham's Gareth Bale took the Players' award while the Football Writers' Association went for Scott Parker of West Ham. But when asked who his pick would be, Old Trafford chief Fergie said: "Luka Modric. And I think the boy Wilshere has really emerged as a great young talent."

I could see Wilshere going to Man Utd, but not Luka. even Modric's agent has recently said Luka will only move if Spurs don't want him.

Are you being serious?

Wilshere is playing for the club he supported as a boy and is going to be a main player in their team for the next decade. Modric is far more likely to move directly to ManU than Wilshere is for obvious reasons.

Modric will be gone this summer. It will cost whoever buys him a fortune but he will go.

Yup.

Wishere is not loyal, all he cares about is himself. He will jack the Arse in soon enough if he knows a Club serious about winning trophies comes in for him.

And as I said, Modric's agent has said he's not moving, as has Harry. That's good enough for me.

Ferguson and Dalglish have Luka Modric as their player of the year.

Joey Barton singled out Modric (and Nasri) as one of the top midfielders in England.

Could it be that some (well at least 3 come to mind) posters got it all wrong?

The timing of this seems to me a mind-game by Ferguson to get the best out of him in a week where a victory by us would give United the title.
