I gave us no chance against Pool and Chelsea, and I’ve been very critical of our wretched recent performances.. but I feel like this is a match that Mourinho could randomly win.
There is not a chance of us winning. We cant defend for shit.

I hope City win with a good performance.

We didn't deserve our 2-0 win earlier in the season and have had enough luck against this team recently.

Also, City were my second team back in the day when I lived in Manchester, don't like the oil money now, but I like Guardiola, think he's been great for the Premier League and hope he wins the title this season.

Yeh that's right, didn't deserve the champions league QF win either but at least that was hard fought and beautiful to behold

How did we not deserve our win though? When we played against them we ceded possession, which they did fuck all with, whilst we looked dangerous every time we countered. When we went 2-0 up they had no response. The only time they got close to goal was because Jesus controlled the ball with his arm, otherwise the only shots they hit were stat padders, they didn't have us sprawling once.

I swear this fanbase constantly looks for ways to say we didn't deserve to win football games.

As I've said before, deserved is just a nonsense word that football fans throw about and it's meaningless in the context of a football game. We deserved to go through the champions league quarters because City couldn't do what needed to be done to get past us over 2 legs, they couldn't score at the lane and they conceded 3 goals at home.

I don't want to watch Spurs win games like that, if we could do it regularly like Leicester did to win the title then fair enough, but we can't, for every miracle win against the likes of City there's the last minute fails against likes of West Ham and Newcastle. Spurs needed to continue with the Redknapp/Poch mentality, attacking with flair, not the shit we now have to watch.

One reason we conceded 5 against a mediocre Everton team is that the players weren't used to playing attacking style for so long.

I'm just staggered at the amount of times I see on here spurs fans almost look mad that we managed to get a result, the champions league run being the main thing that seems to piss our fans off. I doubt Liverpool fans look back on Istanbul going, fuck sake we didn't play as good football as Milan and now we have this stinking trophy we don't deserve or hell even look at the game against us in the final where every metric other than goals scored we were superior. I bet they constantly remonstrate on their forums to each other how they didn't deserve it.

It reeks of an inferiority complex like we're Spurs we're not meant to dine at the same table as other clubs which again just goes hand in hand with the mentality of some of our fans, I'm tired of saying it.

Looking forward to our game plan of sitting on the edge of our box for 90 minutes, getting about 20% of the ball, and hoping that a speculative punt upfield can be turned into a goal by Kane or Son.

City by three or four.

We don't win the league so we don't dine at that table.
We haven't won the fa cup in thirty years so again don't dine at that table.
We got to a CL final and decided dining wasn't for us and left.
We are very unlikely to get top four this year so again no dining taking place.
Where is this deserved dining at the top table you speak of as we are not seeing please advise.

Tottenham vs City this season - 0,7 xG, 33% possession
Tottenham vs City 1st game in CL - 0,8 xG, 41% possession
Tottenham vs City 2nd game in CL - 1,5 xG, 35% possession

Please, tell me the difference of shitty defensive tactics and hard fought win with great style in those matches.

to be honest it would be the most spurs thing ever to beat City twice in the league and then when it really matters to lose the cup final.

I'm counting on winning both upcoming matches with City - we are their bogey team.

you should watch the games not look at a retarded (ie no scientific basis to it) calculation of xG, which is often meaningless.

I edited that post, but to be fair, people looking at xG stats as meaningful are stupid.

The important stat is goals SCORED.

No, because it was lucky, and nothing to do with the geek stats people are getting paid well over furlough rates to produce a figure for the idiot tv companies and dumb consumers to consume as if it's science fact.
