We were told we had to sit back because we couldn’t defend for the past few years, otherwise we’d lose, and then we’d lose and be told it was our fault.

Within three games our defenders look better and we’re attacking for fun.

Maddison was interviewed by TNT sports and the reporter asked along the lines that’s a nice birthday present for Ange, confused he replied: “is it? He didn’t say anything and he wouldn’t” Brilliant, just a wee glimpse that it’s not all about him and he just gets on with it haha what a bloke. This man and team are collectively the most likeable squad & manager we’ve had in years!

I was one of them. Show me a starting lineup with the usual suspects in it and I’ll concede and say I was wrong. No Lloris, Dier, PEH, Davies, Sess is a huge change in personal from last season.

Ange is being interviewed right now on TNT and Joe Cole just asked him if he can explain the Udoghi -Peresic understanding without giving away his tactics…. Ange replied ‘I just copy Pep mate’.

Impossible not to love the guy. He’s gonna make huge waves in the PL this season as a personality if nothing else.

Still very early days and we still absolutely need to sign another striker but this is why I wasn’t quite as doom and gloom as some about Kane leaving because there we’re actually a lot of positives about it:
-Takes the pressure off the team and club of relying on Kane week in week out
-Makes it easier for us to be a team where it’s the sum of its parts is strong
-Allows for a new fresh leadership group with Kane & Lloris and Dier moving on which has been needed for a while as it had got negative and stale
-People now talk about ‘Tottenham’ rather than just constantly Harry Kane
-It enables us to play a style of play which allows for goal contributions spread around the whole team rather than building a team around Kane

Ange just said that himself in the interview there was too much of a reliance on Kane, we now have multiple threats.

Of course we can still add and improve the squad and same with the style of play bedding in but these first 3 games absolutely show that Kane leaving wasn’t the ‘we are going to end up relegated or bottom half OTT nonsense doommongering’ that some on here were panicking.

I know it’s early days but the way he has transformed us so quickly makes me excited for what is coming.

I know there will be bumps and no doubt bad streaks throughout this season but I’m so very impressed and happy to give him time.
