Fifa has named 5 clubs for match-fixing and none of them is from the UK.

However, be extra careful in future.

Over a year ago, when Carson Yeung was first said to be interested in Birmaingham, I wrote about his background and having a brother who had been involved in horse-race fixing and banned from the Hong Kong Jockey Club. That brother of his was subsequently jailed for money laundering.

I have just heard that rumours have circulated in Hong Kong that Carson Yeung is the front for a gambling syndicate in China where betting on footy results is rife.

So perhaps be on the lookout for some strange results with Birmingham.

It's definately not beyond the realms of possibility here.
There were the speight of floodlight failures in the 90's and Grobelaar,Fashanu and our ex goal keeping coach (for events when he was non Spurs) are lucky to be at liberty.

But surely the authorities will have performed a "fit and proper" person test on Yeung?

As they did with Abramovich... and Shinawatra... and Björgólfur Guðmundsson.... and Gaydamak... and all those owners of big northern clubs who use their club's profits to pay the interest on the debt they took out to buy the club...

Shurely....

That Yeung family is all shadowy. His brother also arranged to have his jewellery stores robbed repeatedly to cheat insurance.

Maybe he has a "clean" record. That is why he is the front.
