Well, well, well. Surprising team selection but sadly, not a surprising performance. We've been turning out dross like this since Xmas and it shows no signs of letting up. No shots on target in a second half when we're chasing the game?? Mental. Basically our team boils down to the fact that if Defoe doesn't score noone does. Half of the fancy dans think they just turn up and the magic happens, inflated self-confidence filling up the space in their head where brains should sit.

Very, very dissappointing. I feel like elbow dropping Mick Mcarthy from the top rope.

Gomes - 7 - no chance with the goal. Again, had little to do.

Kaboul - 7 - Played fine. Nothing better that Charlie Chalk would have done.

Bale - 8 MOM - again our only outlet. Our only player with pace. Our only player looking like he gives a shit.

Dawson/Bassong - 6 Average

Bentley - 4 - Very poor. Wrong decision making, dawdled on the ball, deleivery was turgid. if he's not crossing decent balls then he is a £15 million pound weight around our teams neck.

Niko - 4 - Terrible. Blew our only good chance with a crap finish. Softer than a jelly baby.

Hudd - 5 - Anonymous from our playmaking extraordiaire. Again failed to unlock any doors or manage to hit one fucking shot on target. Wow, they say, what a great ball striker he is. Doesn't really matter when he smashes every bloody shot miles high/wide(take your pick)

Jenas - 3 - I am angry with this kid. Seriously angry. If he doesn't want to play he can fuck off. That was a pitiful shift he put. Not for the first time either recently. I've long stood up for JJ but my patience is wearing thinner than Eidur's barnet.

Defoe - 4 - Nothing all game. When he doesn't get service he's pretty much a nice ornament up front. Our only player who scores, didn't score.

Eidur - 6 - First game. Nice little jog around for our Icelandic bombshell. Totally the wrong game to blood him in.

Crocuh - 6 - Should have started. These games are what having Crouch is all about.

Wilson - 7 - Thankfully came on and actually gave us a visible presence in CM. The toy soldiers Hudd/JJ were vacant.

Modders - 4 - Did fuck all.

Harry - 0 - Team selection I can just about let him live for, but the complete lack of an ability to motivate this team is shocking. Half time hairdryer needs to be plugged in.

 Harry did his job by saving us last season, he was the only guy that could to be fair but he is by no means a manager capable of a top 4 team. He'll keep us in the premiership but thats about it.

Bale 6.

Everyone else can fuck off, including twitchy.

Play Bale and the academy team next league game, make Alex Inglethorpe manager for the day, remind those useless twats, including twitchy, they need to do better.

Oh, and every Wolves Player and Mick McCarthy 10/10 for both games.

You got your tactics spot on, players played according to those tactics. Well done.

I don't usually do ratings but I'm feeling generous:

0's all round!

Gomes, not really his fault.

Kaboul, could have closed down the cross. Why we loan out two RBs, recall another RB, rest out main RB and play a CB at RB is beyond me but hey, tactics eh!

Dawson, at first I questioned him on the goal, then realised it was a late run from a midfielder who should have been tracked by one of our fuckwit central midfielders. Won a lot of important headers and challenged while clearly injured.

Bassong, didn't do too much right or wrong I guess, can't really fault him.

Bale, many great runs forward but his delivery was a bit off. Still, he was pretty much the only ray of hope tonight.

Bentley, decent first half but wasn't much involved (positively anyway) in the second half. As guilty as Kaboul for allowing the cross from which they scored, and he just didn't create anything dangerous.

Fuckwit 1, passing was poor, determination was poor, he insists on shooting when he isn't able to hit anything half decent and he has all the authority in the middle of a paraplegic mouse.

Fuckwit 2, should have tracked back on the goal, did absolutely nothing else of note, deserve to come off, should have never started.

Kranjcar, what has happened to the wonderful player of 2 months ago? He's stinking out the joint these days.

Defoe, rubbish service to the front men and I felt he tried, but without Lennon there to make space for him he's gone off the boil.

Gudjohnsen, some nice touches and I think he'll be good for us but tonight wasn't the night to throw him in.

Palacios, how refreshing it was to see someone tackling when this guy came on. If he had started I'm pretty sure we'd not have lost this one.

Modric, hailed as Europes best midfielder when we signed him. You what? The guy is obviously talented but he blows as hot and cold as anything and it's beginning to piss me off.

Crouch, the guy makes me wish for Gary Doherty.

Redknapp, the lowest number you can think of.

You have been far too generous to Jenas - otherwise I pretty much agree.

 I have to agree

WTF was the idea of giving debuts to two players and then not playing our midfield enforcer, away, at a team fighting relegation:shrug: 'First time I feel the need to be really critical of 'Arry - think his mind if unravelling under the pressure (or it has been dislodged by excessive twitching related activities.

I'm really pissed off. We have completely bottled it in terms of challenging this season. As usual. Fuck.

Thought Dawson did ok, Bale was quite lively and Bentley looked good first half. Other than that it was pretty shit really. Shame Kranjcar seems to have turned into Paul Konchesky over the last month. I will openly admit now to having a preconceived bias against Jermain Jenas. I just want to hurt that man. Huddlestone did nothing. Defoe did nothing. Gudjohnsen is not fit. BOLLOCKS!!!!

i'm not giving ratings - haven't seen the game - but the turn around from bale is amazing

so pleased to have been proved wrong on this one

on the downside the misgivings i had about niko are surfacing again - i thought he was going to pleasantly surprise me after some good games - now the player i often saw at pompey is appearing again (not just this game)

i'm very sad that jj had such a mare (according to all - so i won't contest it)

i thought harry shold have played the same team as Villa - but really we had enough out there to win - or so it seemed from the team sheet

maybe EG played too early

jenas needs to be fucking shot, he just sits there and passes the ball sideways. he cant defend, he cant attack, in the goal they scored you see him LOOK AT JONES and just let him go.

useless prick

Seriously though, there's a thing in companies called 'corporate memory'. It basically involves trying to avoid repeating mistakes. We all know Hudd and Jenas doesn't work. Why on earth try to play them together when we've learnt not to do that over the last few years? I'm not anti-Jenas. I'm not anti-Hudd. But why on earth try to play them both together?!
