Well that's a great way to start engaging in conversation.
It's a bit like me saying to you that if you love Poch so much, why don't you fuck off and support Chelsea?!

I mean, are you denying that we were terrible for the last 18 months of his reign, apart from a rather streaky run to the CL final? The same final that he talked about leaving just before?

Or are you saying that he's proved his managerial ability since leaving us? In his short spell at the best club in France by a country (and financial) mile?

Because apart from the fact that you seem to have a blind love of Poch, I don't see any other valid counter points in what you're saying, apart from being a bit of an obtuse dick, tbh.
Great with us for that spell but in terms of someone who is open, honest, doesn't talk in riddles and has a much more positive demeanour - I'm very happy with who we have now. I'm completely non intrigued as to how Chelsea do under Poch. I am not anxious for him to fail personally but Chelsea don't interest me at all.

My love for Poch and his time with us will never change just like my distain for that money pit of corruption they call Chelsea or their disgustingly toxic fans.

My Spurs fueled dreams continued last night, where I dreamt that I went to the pub down New Malden High Street with a couple of mates on a Saturday night, and saw Poch out with some of his new Chelsea buddies. We waited until he was really drunk, then picked him up under an armpit each, took him round back and gave him a good telling off. We didn't deck him or anything, just literally told him off. He was ashamed.

You did well lifting a man of his ''stature'' even if it was only a dream.

The only way to improve this is if Jesus joins you in telling him off

We needed re investment the guy worked wonders, let’s give him the kudos he deserves as one of our greatest managers. If we had signed better players we wouldn’t have seen a dip. Did he flirt to much yes, was he wrong to go to dinner with Alex fergerson? Yes!

but he also worked under levy and our cash flow issues, he must have know it would be an up hill battle.

The book was also a bad idea

We were ahead of the curve with his high press suffocating football. When he joined Spurs you had managers like Bruce, Allardyce, Monk, Pearson and Pulis all managing in the PL with the likes of LVG, Peleggrini, Jose and Wenger managing the top clubs.

The game has moved on a lot since then and whilst his methods still stand up to a certain degree they’re no longer unique to the league. The top teams and managers all deploy similar tactics off the ball and deploy much more advanced possession structures and attacking patterns than those we used under Poch.

It’s why I didn’t want him back as I don’t believe his methods are the bar raiser they once were and if anything, his methods have been built upon and surpassed by many managers currently managing in the PL.

He joined the wrong club. Hasn't got the squad that suit him and won't get the time to turn that around.

Would be amazing if he gets them relegated and reveals a spurs tattoo on his chest the moment it's confirmed.

I have a feeling, similar to Potter, that the Chelsea job is too big and complex for him. There is far too much influence from above to allow him the freedom to manage. I doubt very few of the players that came in this summer were his picks.

Pochettino appears uncomfortable and lacking any zip when interviewed. Doesn’t look like he is enjoying his time there other than they are paying him handsomely
He really looked like the job had aged him already. Looked quite ill. Just not a club you need to get mixed up with. Poisoned chalice indeed.

Anyway, not our problem.

he'll be fine

very young squad, he'll get em swinging around eventually. people forget how long it took him to get us moving, I think we are a little blinded with the speed in which ange seems to have implemented his football

It's a poison job for anyone. Massive squad with players you didn't chose. Two tech directors is bonkers enough. Any way get some popcorn and enjoy the show

Yeah I think it's a job that primarily requires an ego manager rather than a coach. And when I say ego manager I'm talking about managing Boehly & co as well as the players.

I am going to do something rare here - I was wrong.

I kind of wanted Poch to come back this summer, and was disappointed we did not make any effort to bring him back. But, I can see, now, that what we really needed was a complete re-set. It was time to stop trying to chase things with the old group of players, and time to start new, and give everyone a clean slate.

I will always be thankful for how Poch came in and changed the culture when he first came in - but, bringing him back, would have prevented the "painful rebuild" from truly taking hold.

He's looking completely devoid of ideas. I'm so happy he didn't come back. Though saying that we would never had known how good it could be if Ange didn't arrive so maybe we'd have been blissfully ignorant .
