If the source is correct and the deal is already done I'm curious what the price was
Norwich have come out and said that the bidding for their young talent will start at £20m. Whether they get that remains to be seen. I would imagine a few loan deals may sweeten any transfer.

£20m does seem fair, all things considered.

That means Levy will offer £10m and a pack of hobnobs until deadline day, then up it to £15m and add chocolate to the hobnobs.

Then every hour that passes on deadline day without an agreement he will eat one!

With the likelihood that KWP goes as part of the deal for Hojbjerg and Aurier leaves for a fee, I am all for Aarons coming in as one of the options at RB.

Over time he will develop into a top full back IMO but I would probably like another RB, with more experience, to rotate regularly with Aarons.

Probably in the minority but I'd be happy with Foyth, Tanganga and Aarons as our right back options for next season.

I just don't see us buying 2 new right backs and I'd happily offload Aurier and KWP.

As long as we get a proper DM in, I think that would be fine tbh. It’d still be a weak point in the team, but we don’t have the funds to plug every gap.

I can't say I'd be 'happy' with that. Foyth and Tanganga aren't actual RB's and I still don't trust the former, plus Aarons is young.

I don't think too much should be placed on Tanganga's ability at RB yet. We've seen him fill in ok on a few occasions, but all it will take is one poor game to have people doubting him there and that would not be through fault of his own.

Good to see all the naysayers are getting in before we've even signed him - primed and ready for some vigorous "I told you so"s if he does join and isn't world class within the first 10 games.

Aarons does seem to have a good turn of pace, something which KWP doesn't have.

In my opinion Foyth is never going to be s success with us. Tanganga isn't a right back and Aurier is average.

We are obviously going to be looking at loans or players with a year or less on their contract

We need 2 new right backs. Hysaj from Napoli would be great. I also like Lars Bender at Leverkusen.

If Nathaniel Clyne still retains the ability he possessed when he joined Liverpool then he would be a fantastic free transfer.

Aarons has a lot of potential but whether he fulfills that is the £30 million question.

We need to upgrade both our RB and LB positions. The easiest way to do that is to sell KWP and Aurier and sign both Aarons and Castagne as the latter is two footed and competent in both positions.

RB:
Aarons
Castagne
Tanganga (emergency)

LB:
Castagne
Davies
Sessegnon (probs be utilised further up field)
Cirkin (promoted to the 1st team squad)
Tanganga (emergency)

Was just going to say basically the same thing. For me, a big part of the appeal of also signing Castagne is that having him in the squad would be conducive to the development of both Sessegnon and Aarons.

Sess needs match time at left back, and having Castagne, Davies, Cirkin and Tangagna would allow us to send him out on loan to a club that would play him in that position. Aarons meanwhile would also be "one for the future" and having a player such as Castagne would allow him to be gradually eased in without the pressure of needing to perform at the very top level from day one as a relatively inexperienced 20 year old.

We spent three years chasing Sessegnon and it has now been two years chasing Aarons (assuming that the recent ITK proves to be correct). It's clear that the club has identified those two players as the fullbacks of the future, but there are questions as to whether either is ready to assume the mantle of first choice. They're both still very young, so putting squad options in place that allow them to develop and gradually settle into that role seems prudent.

The thought of playing Foyth right back excites me more than Aarons.

I must say I'm not happy with how stubborn we've generally been with our players. Not playing Ndombele primarily nor Gedson not rotating Kane when clearly not fit Sessengon not been given more minutes either as a wing forward or wingback attacking solely with Aurier... Its been a total mess.

I think that if there were nothing to play for we'd be seeing more of those players, but we do so Jose is treating every game seriously and not tinkering by playing inexperienced players unless they have shown they are ready. I guess in that respect Skipp must've done a fair amount right recently.

I still think Semedo could be a decent shout at RB, like Castagne he is also relatively two footed and comfortable at LB. If Barca want shot of him....??
