I will be supremely disapponited if we dont go for Depay. We need a winger. Couldnt have been more obvious today. Lennon offers litte(no, nothing). Get rid of him(i hear dim dim might be going to Palace, fwiw). Sell Lennon and buy Depay, our attack improves immediately.

Props, and I certainly don't want to discredit you, but if @Snarfalicious didn't mention him even as late as last summer I'll join @kaz Hirai in his feast of undergarments.

Lennon is useless. He legitimately provides nothing. No way depay is worse than him. There is no real life vs fifa in play here at all. Just facts. Lennon is useless.

I know mate.. I doubt a deal will happen anyway.. City Utd & Real have told his agent they have interest in the future but not at the moment.. I still have hope that we will follow up on the interest Southampton showed in Pedro before Pochettino left

Hmm an intelligent thought there. I too would like to see us bring in a left winger, but I'd be surprised at this point unless we find a taker for Chadli or Lennon.

How many players do you want at the club ? It looks like we are likely to end up with several highly paid players not included in the squad because they won't leave. Do you want more existing players to join that growing band ?

No he's not he did a great job for the team yesterday by changing his game after Naughton was sent off to ensure he gave the defence better protection

If we want facts then the fact is he did an excellent job for us yesterday which none of our other wide attacking options can offer.

Townsend came on and showed a good attacking game but then within a minute of his arrival Collins was sent off so he had the freedom from the responsibility that Lennon wasn't allowed and also had fresh legs rather than having run around compensating for a man down. Good luck to him it was good to see him show some attacking threat and not look as greedy with the ball as normal but he would not have been anywhere near as effective earlier in the game when he would have needed to track back and cover because he lacks the experience and the defensive nous

We need someone like this guy. We used to have magicians scattered across the pitch under harry - VDV, Bale and Modders were all capable of the extraordinary, which took us to the next level. At the moment, I dont see any of the current squad capable of the special - or that spark which is the difference between a draw and a win. Yesterday was more of the same ala AVB and Tim (but it is very early days so dont neg rep for that) but as a quality level across the squad - we do lack that x factor

I think Eriksen's definitely got the spark, but creativity does seem to be a bit lacking in the current team.

Except we've reportedly accepted bids for him, but Dawson doesn't want to go.

It has nothing to do with the transfer fee.
