Not to divert, but I'd much prefer Remy Cabella. His play seems to be trending upwards whereas in my opinion Pjanic' development has stalled a tad.

Remy Cabella is very talented, indeed.
I don't know if Franco and Co. are likely to go for him though.
Were we ever linked with him, btw?

Not on paper but then again neither did

-----Giroud-----

Podolski-Cazorla-Walcott

I haven't seen too much of Lamela but I thought he's played on the wing more for Roma, seems pretty direct but I feel like we need a pass master behind Soldado, someone who can mix up the tempo of the game and be creative. That's why I don't even like Bale playing in the no10 role really as he's so direct and as we've seen against teams that park the bus we struggle to create space and opportunities.

We need a young Riquelme.

Leandro Paredes from Boca is touted as that guy.

Have you seen him play much?

Nope, just what has been reported. Remember there being some sort of link a while ago so checked him out. Playing alongside Riquelme won't hurt either. See what it did for Bernard (maybe an overstatement but you know what I mean).

Roma star Miralem Pjanic says he is not ready to talk to the club about a new contract, which has fuelled talk he could make a January move to in-form Tottenham
The Bosnian midfielder, linked with a host of clubs over the summer including Tottenham, has enjoyed a good start to the new season.
Reports in the Italian media claim Roma want to talk with Pjanic – who has two-years left on his current deal – about a new contract.
However, the former Lyon star has explained toL’Equipe that he is not ready to talk.
“I have two years remaining on my current contract and it is not the right time to talk about it,” he is quoted as saying.
“If the club wants to talk, there will be a better period for that.” (Sky Sports)
The playmaker is real quality and Spurs will surely try and tempt him into making a January move...

Roma is doing very well in serie this year. I see no reasons why he would want to leave.

Great player, but with Tom Carroll knocking on the door, I think we have enough creativity in our midfield. Would rather see us give Holtby a proper go in the Premier League, and spend our money elsewhere-
