Really don’t understand this link. Already got Skipp and Hojberg. Not enough going forward.

If we plan a system with Pierre und Skipp both as starters we need cover for them for rotation.

I am quite positive about this idea as you get someone with a good hard working attitude and it would make us less reliant on PEH. Would be a very good upgrade on Sissoko.

Agreed. Plus it was clear that as the season went along, PEH was less effective as he likely got tired out. Having cover for him is essential.

I imagine it would have an option to buy but don’t think a loan fee of €5m is enormous in these days

Agreed.

Assuming the loaned player can do a job (probably as a squad player), essentially 'renting' a player for a season has it's merits.

It allows us an extra player, at a low price, to help us get into the CL for next season.

Plus it reduces the financial risk going forward, especially in a market where everyone is trying to shift their over-paid deadwood.

And if you also factor in options to buy and the loan fee as a deposit, etc, it could be quite a sweet deal.

If we do get this guy in I just hope we still pursue a more forward thinking midfielder. Never truly replaced Eriksen.

Suppose I best go watch a couple of videos then and let all my mates know if he's good or not depending on the music.
Hahaha - this is so accurate. COYS WhatsApp group full of "ah yeh he's a baller" based on YT backing tracks for SKILLS AND GOALS HD vids.

I think we're OK for hard working midfielders, who can do a bit of everything - that's what he strikes me as

What I think we're missing are two types:
1) An old fashioned, athletic, DM - an Ndidi type
2) A truly creative playmaker - an Eriksen type

Not convinced we need this guy
