Like with anyone else it could’ve been, he needs time and support and to have his voice mean something. He wasn’t in my top 10, but doesn’t mean I won’t back him unequivocally. Because I will and so should everyone. I can only hope this is the start of a plan to bring long term stability and success. If it is, I have no doubt he’ll be given all the time in the world to work through adversity and make his mark (what should happen). If there’s no sort of plan or long-term outlook, things could get ugly at the first sign of adversity (what shouldn’t happen but is what always happens with these owners).

I couldn’t give a XXXX about the naysayers- I’m happy the club may have some focus (I hope)

*There is another crap joke in here!

I mean this isn't true. I'd say a significant proportion of people on here want Levy gone (including myself), but it seems if you don't blame Levy for every ill in the world then you're backing him.
Levy being under pressure would be a proper protests not boos,

I dont blame Levy for everything wrong with this club, he made this club what it is today from 2006 and 2017, he was the best chairman in the PL. Since then its clear he doesn't have the hunger for it. He's more proud of his commercial projects than the club performing well.

This season, we had a monumental collapse, with an easy run in, we lost out on CL spots and got pipped by a manager who took a relegation fighting team in to Europe. It was solely down to the chairman who refused to hire a new manager, sacked his interim manager, had to let go his DoF despite doing his due diligence on the person and now has hired a manager without having a DoF or structure in place for the future

Levy in the last 6 months has got every decision wrong regarding the club and should walk away from it

Then due to pride didn't even phone Poch or approach Rodgers(after Rodgers choose to go Liverpool when being interviewed by us)

With Naggs holding out for PSg or Real, slot not working out, DeZerbi not leaving Brighton, then Ange will do for me for now, more than willing to see how he gets on, in particular in dealing with Levy and the board.
Looking forward to more attacking football at least, just hope we back this manager or whoever comes in with the players they want for a change

Feels like a Phase 1 appointment in the grand scheme of things. Attacking football, likeable bloke, capable of sorting this mess out, reminds me of Martin Jol. The aim has to be that we don't lurch from one style of manager to the next. Keep signing managers who play good football and keep signing players suited for that style. He's inheriting players from Poch era, mourinho era, conte era , nuno era ,(approximately 33 senior players with no European football) so there's likely to be a cull of about 15 players this summer and 3 or 4 additions to start the rebuild. He signed 29 players in 2 years at celtic and won 5 out of 6 trophies so hopefully knows what he's doing.

Basically I've done the required mental gymnastics to get on board with some **** I've barely heard of 😅
This isnt even a joke, we have to get rid of 29 players over the next 2 years before sign some

There was clearly a process of sorts. All the names short listed fitted a particular profile. Whether we got our first, second, third or fourth choice is irrelevant imo. If a candidate makes it onto a shortlist it means they fit the criteria for the job.
Yeah for all the hyperbole about it being a shit show, there’s been a fairly consistent theme running through most of the people we’ve been linked to. They’ve all been attacking managers, who’re going to build a project. Slot, JN, Enrique and now Postecoglou. Amorim seems like an outlier, but was he ever really near the top of the list?

I will welcome Ange with open arms, and will support him wholeheartedly but I’ve been made to feel a fool for thinking we even had a shot at getting Nagelsmann to replace Conte. That sits very uncomfortably with me.

Its the shifting of ambition that’s hardest to swallow.

Putting Ange's capability aside, for all Levy's intention of hiring him thinking he's a yes man, I hope Levy will be awakened to a rude surprise if Ange is as what reports are saying in that he wants involvement in recruitment.
If Conte didn't get Levy to dance to his tune, this chirpy chappy from Oz certainly isn't going to.

I just want it done.

Now let's try and get behind this manager and stop the moaning.

Give him chance to be successful at least. The players have been in charge for too long, we didn't unite behind Jose or Conte, we blamed the manager, their tactics, their boring football.

Ange wants to play the right way. Every time he's gone up a level he's done it successfully.

He's got more pedigree than Arteta and he hasn't done too had has he. Christ imagine if we got someone's assistant manager we would be in melt down.

Give him chance.

Exactly.

WLB said Amorim impressed in his interview but it seems we never really followed it up. It was reported that his clause was 13m so maybe we just didn’t want to pay up.

Can't say I'm excited
I’ll be candid: more excited than when Mourinho & Nuno signed; not as excited as when Conte signed. Same as when Poch signed. It’s a gamble; just like all manager signings, for all clubs
EDIT. but I’ll be fully behind him from the get-go.
