Ooo er missus.
Totally off topic but you reminded me of something that happened few nights back.
I was out walking the dog and an elderly couple walking their dog passed by. We stopped to exchange pleasantries and the dogs did what dogs do. The woman then said 'straight for the bum.'
I had to nearly bite my tongue off to stop myself from replying. The list of witty retorts was endless lol.

I'm sure every manager does things that piss off some players. They all have such egos. Poch came in and booted out the big egos in the squad that weren't on board with him. Ferguson was famous for not tolerating any shit from players and they were gone if they crossed him.

Just been thinking (dangerous), that Kompany will probably have true ITK about the inner workings of Spurs, unlike us lot, through YaYa Touré. I don’t know whether they are mates as such but certainly associates? May well be better (or worse) than our thoughts.

The only thing that would be a complete turnaround in mood would be if Nagalsmann and his choice of DOF came in at the end of the year

I doubt it’s a shock to anyone here. Our search thus far has been putting “football manager “ into the LinkedIn search bar and levy hitting return.

So. Turns out I was wrong and I hold my hands up.

Levy does the inputting, Donna presses return. Apols.

All the bad stories coming out about Nagelsmann will be to help Bayern to bolster their position, much like stories regarding Conte did for our club.

Which players are worth building around, by the way? More important than the manager is knowing who we can rely upon. I made a list.

Undeniably Elite:
Kane
Rodrigo
Romero

Good, need the correct tactics to shine:
Kulusevski
Porro
Richarlison
Sarr
Son?

Need more evaluation:
Bissouma
Udogie
Danjuma
Skipp

Reliable but meh:
Davies
Hojbjerg
Dier
Forster
Emerson Royal
Sessegnon
Lenglet

Not going to cut it:
Sanchez
Perisic
Lloris
Tanganga

so looking at that. Do we even have a core of the team to build around? We have Bentancur, Romero, a wantaway Kane, and that’s basically it for the elite tier.

Compare that back to 2014 with Poch, we had Kane, Eriksen, Walker, Jan, Toby, Lloris, Mousa… 6 legitimately good players we knew we could trust.

we now have only 3-4 players we know are truly good enough.
If Romero and Bentacur are undeniably elite then you need a new category for Kane and Son

Wouldn't we need a new director of football before a manager, seems the wrong way round to appoint a new manager then a dof, could cause problems
Whilst that is the norm, personally, I think the manager is a much more important role for us and would rather bring the right manager in and then a Dof that they want to work with.

Agree. In other clubs it may be diffenrt and the DOF role is to keep continuity regardless of the manager though with Levy being so heavily involved I think the manager is more of a priority.
Also the manager should have an impact on results immediately where as the DOF has different objectives
