I take your point but Celtic are a HUGE club.

Sounds to me it's just another way of saying DOF and I fully expect him to take the FP role in due course

Sounds like he's more of a structural organizer rather than someone with DOF type contacts, his previous CEO roles would indicate his position would hire DOFs medical etc

I just can't see how postecoglou will work I will happily eat my words if I'm wrong but he just seems the least of all the candidates.
There will not be a quick fix at spurs by bringing in a cpl of unheard of Japanese players.
I'm not sure he will be up to the job and can see another season with a mid season sacking 😢

Im not so sure on Ange myself.
I’m sure Munn could work with other managers and I’d certainly hope we’re further down the line with our managerial target than waiting for Munn to come in and change it.

As nice as a bloke Ange might be plus our hunger for attacking football making us desperate for anyone positive, we should be very careful here.
Ange is 58 years old and he’s never managed in a top league and his biggest club is Celtic.

Im definitely not as convinced as some of you that it’ll be Ange.
Had no idea he was that old tbh

Right now I'm just up for something completely different.

Martin Jol was a complete unknown really, a stint at a lesser Dutch team.
Harry had never managed a club the size of ours, big step up.
Likewise for Poch who also got left with a poor squad to rebuild.

Sometimes the most obvious candidates are not as suited. That's why i've been leaning to Slot, Kompany or Ange, just for something completely different.

However I do feel Ange's age will go against him.

It's just a feeling really or maybe I'm being a football snob 😳

But when managers of the calibre of nagelsmann and gallardo are available it just seems so tottenham that we would go with him to me the least of all the managers we could have.

Yes it rains a lot wherever I am lately 🌧

Ranieri won the Premier League at 64.

I'm very pleased about the news of Munn joining the board. I've been calling for this for ages. We've needed to separate the business and football ventures of the business for a while, and if this means Levy can step even further back from the footballing side, then all the better. A new DOF to work alongside Munn should be the next step. One that isn't a compromised crook.

Won't be any updates on a new DOF until after the appeal on 19th April

Based on personal experience, this Scott Munns appointment is not a good one. Another “football executive” rather than a football person. With experience only in footballing backwaters.

I actually hope Levy remains in charge of recruitment if a new manager rather than him now!
I'm intrigued. What is your personal experience in this field? Anything you can share that can give more insight to his appointment?

Indeed. Thankfully, that's only a couple of weeks away. Munn isn't officially starting until the summer anyway, and we're not hiring a new manager until the end of the season, so it's of no concern.

Have we ever had a ‘Chief football officer’ before that isn’t Levy? Obviously we’ve had DOFs but is this a new role..?
Call me a cynic but will this just be another person with a different view and not aligned to Levy’s..
