I’ve said it too many times, but the plan is far more important than the next manager. Sack Conte now or not. I don’t care really as long as when the next permanent guy is hired we have a plan. I honestly barely care how we finish the season, because even if we get top 4, if it comes from a new manager bounce that was a a result of a rushed hire without a plan, I’ll be furious. Because the cycle never ends. Mason or some other interim can have the job for as long as it takes for a long term plan to be agreed. Get the club in the right place first and then start fresh with new faces. I’m so tired of the directionless, reactionary nature of those in charge, and I’m even more frustrated as I have zero faith in the club to actually come up with a blueprint to make sure the long term football future is planned for.

What do you make of Luis Enrique? Also to you @Ghost Hardware

wasn't he quite a fail at Roma?

Alrighty Poch v Enrique in the stadium for the job so. Winner gets it.
Poch would win hands down he has the Argentinian shithousery that Enrique wouldn't have. Enrique would jab in and out until Poch catches him with a overhand right.o_O

We will hire a big name like Luis Enrique. Who doesn’t fit then 18 months back here again. Club needs to understand why Pochettino and for that matter Redknapp where successful but managers like Jose and Conte where not.

Enrique would be a mistake I think, another coach who has proved he can do well with world class, technically gifted players for Barca & Spain. We don't have many of either and I don't see that changing any time soon. Smacks of picking another 'name' to appease the fans and act like a big club.

I would suggest going for a coach who has a philosophy which is the best fit for the club but seeing as we don't have any philosophy or direction as a club I'm not sure how we would go about that.
He did nothing with Spain. Not great at all.

Sarr, Danjuma, Porro and Udogie I think fit the bill there. We definitely have more physical-types at our disposal, though.
Maybe even Reguilon gets a look in.
Wouldn't be suprised to see him reintegrate GLC or Winks.

What did they win? Or do you mean successful at playing a style of football you want to watch? Because the two are very different things.

GLC maybe. Sevilla version of Reguilon would be nice. He seemed like he actually wanted to be here. Obviously lost confidence since signing for us.

Possible problem with Luis Enrique is we'd still be bored because our football will go to the opposite extreme and we would pass ourselves to death. But would still prefer that

He loves Olmo so would probably try to bring him. Definitely needs Rakitic type for his transition style (key player for Barcelona other than MSN). That would be hardest position to fill correctly IMO.

Is this the year we finally get Moutinho..

If any manager tries to reintegrate winks they need to leave immediately
He would have to wouldn't he?

We barely have any players to suit an Enrique system. Appointing him would be madness.

Which is why I'm sure the Italian del boy will do it.

Nobody wins much with us. Poch took us closest and Redknapp was the first to get top 4 so both where successful in the evolution/growth of the club and style of play.

Comte did great last season but this season has been a disaster and Jose was Jose.

But yeh style of play lets at least get that right if nothing else.

Enrique, Glasner, Amorim the three names JPB says are likely to be on the shortlist.

As someone above has said, I'm not sure how close Paratici should be to this appointment, all things considered. Though I like the idea of Enrique a lot.
All 3 of them would be very welcomed here

Big yes to Luis Enrique from me
This is a sincere question. Why do people want Luis Enrique? As far as I can see its been about 8 years since he was in club football. He only lasted one season at Roma and had all the tools he needed at Barcelona. Am I missing something?

We can't resigned to passive defensive football for the rest of time. Arteta reshaped his squad and geared it towards a pressing, possession style and we have to do the same.

Why is paratici leading this anyway? I highly doubt he'll be here past the summer
Or maybe he will be reassigned elsewhere - seems that his influence is welcomed by Levy and that he has a lot to offer outside of transfer dealings
