yeah me too, wanted JN or RDZ, Slot is a 50/50 for me coming from the dutch league, could do well but will be a big step up as our league is soo competitive whereas there is a big drop off in the quality of the whole dutch league
my top 3 are nagelsmann, de zerbi and gallardo...slot is ok for me...like amorim and ange...

If this has been explained elsewhere, my apologies, but how can he be the Chief Football Officer and not be involved in the footballing side? His announcement statement from the club even reads “Scott will be joining the Club’s Board and will take charge of all footballing departments”.
Well it's reassuring to hear we do have a footballing department I suppose.

Definitely some reliable sauce if you're mixing it in the Netherlands....

Given that the way football currently is - we've got two (possibly three) countries, a mad American who throws money at everything and one of the best managers of all time in our way - all I can really ask for is a good side that I'm proud of. It hasn't been so for four years. And quietly, I sort of thought Nagelsmann would continue the trend of managers who think they're above it, and would result in another unhappy alliance when all I wanted was a team I liked. I fully believe Slot can provide that.

Slot's Spurs, all in. Get your clogs and your gouda, we're going on a trip.

So this was three months ago when he was linked with Leeds and he said if he got a text message from Leeds he’d open it. So he would have gone there. On that basis he isn’t going to turn us down if we really want him…..is he!?!?

Sorry ive not been on here for a few days and have about 100 odd pages to catch up. From reading the last couple of pages am i right in saying that all ITK points to us speaking only to Slot with the view to appointing him at the end of the season?

I reckon this was probably more than a hint of Premier League bias.

I remember us being linked to De Boer post AVB mid season and there was not a chance he was leaving Ajax to come to us in the middle of the season.

Even less likely Slot who was in a better situation with being top of the league and still in Europe would go to Leeds who were a shitshow at that point.

Nope... we're from Denmark... relax 😂😂 ... COYS ... anyway... yes, I trust our ITK more. Agree... but hey, it's better with local news than Twitter... I bet there will be plenty of talk about Slot among the local people.

My thoughts on who we'll get as our new manager;

Who we're likely looking at, in no particular order;

1. Slot - currently the favourite, if we were to appoint Slot, that would mean we need to buy at least 2 new full backs and sell/loan out at least 3.
Davies and Royal are our only recognised FBs, hence the need for at least another two.
We would have basically wasted around 60 - 70 mil on Porro and Destiny, not to mention Sessengon (25mil)
We'd also need new CBs and a creative midfielder.
So for Levy, this is an expensive option (including 6mil compo to Feyenoord)

2. Luis Enrique - to suit Enriques style, We'd need to completely overhaul the midfield/defence and GK.
Along with Enriques high wages, this would be a very expensive option for Levy and I cant see it happening.

3. Anorim - This would probably be the most sensible option. We have players in place already to suit his style, but need to tweak a few players. His appointment might make us getting Ugarte from Sporting more likely.

4. Rogers - This is who I think we'll end up with. Hes cheap, knows the league and our players. Has a good track record, did I mention that he's cheap?

5. Potter - I think his stint at Chelsea will put Levy off (not because of Chelsea, but because of how he struggled).
I personally think he'd be a decent appointment for our current situation, experience of Premier league, wasnt exactly given much of an opportunity at Chelsea considering he had 175 players thrown at him.
His teams have always struggled to score goals, but having Harry up top (who knows for how long) would negate this. Imagine his football with a goal scorer up top.
Once again, I think he'd be a decent appointment.

6. De Zebri - I think we'll be put off by the compensation fee. A top manager who has taken Brighton to the next level.
I think De Zebri would be obtainable due to the fact that he's at a club who is always going to sell their best players, otherwise I doubt we'd get him. He will be very frustrated at losing his two best midfield this summer.

The most "Spursy" appointment from above is going to be Slot.
We'll appoint Slot and not buy the FBs that he requires, expecting him to change his tactics and go against what he usually does.
This will lead to us struggling and him being sacked within 8 months.

I believe the most sensible appointment would be Anorim, not that I want him.
We have players to match his formation.
History would suggest that Levy will already be bargain hunting and looking to sign Maddison and Ward-Prowse, both of which would probably fit into Anorims style of play.

We're Spurs, so who knows what the hell Levy will do?

As always, COYS!!!!

Alternatively, our full backs could just be coached to fit the system. Crazy that we’ve got in the mindset that our players either fit a system or they don’t.

So Levy, as usual acting as our DoF, making the most important footballing decision, based on his faultless track record over the past 20 years.
Promises made to new managers, promises then broken.
Rinse and repeat, is the phrase, isn't it?
