I absolutely fail to understand any excitement over Postman Clog Loo. He has nothing - absolutely nothing - in his managerial career history which suggests he is even remotely appropriate to be the next Spurs manager.

What are we basing this excitement on? Winning the Scottish league with the team who wins it by default every season? His wild year at Whittlesea Zebras? His revolutionary spell at Yokohama F Marinos?

Honestly appointing him would be an absolute joke. But I guess that's what this club has now become.

i mean, he deffo was our 1st choice - all the reliable reports & itks were saying he was our 1st choice, something has obvs happened in talks for him to do a 180, either he played us for a new contract or he was so disappointed with the talks he thought fuck that! Either way, it’s shocking!

Wasn't he only first choice after JN ruled himself out? So technically 2nd choice?

No point trying to justify it mate. I've been very vocal all along that Slot wanted to come but already a few comments on here laughing at what I've said because apparently now he was never interested. I'll say it one last time for everyone, SLOT WAS VERY KEEN ON JOINING US!
So Levy is just doing Levy things. When will this git get out of his own way? 🤦‍♂️

As much as Feyernord were from
our understanding, inflating the price to £15m. Why would spurs baulk at that…we spent £20m on Djed Spence!

No one is laughing at what you said, not sure where you've gotten that from. Everyone's ire is exclusively directed toward Levy and the board; we know we wanted Slot and vice versa and it's on Levy for fucking it up. The reason for that is almost immaterial at this point, we're now without our supposed top two targets and I don't have faith in him securing number three, whoever number three even is.

The odd one for me is Ange Postecoglou, I just don’t get the love in. Yes, he’s done well in the SPL, but so did Neil Lennon, Walter Smith, Alex Mcleish and Steven Gerrard. He’s not on my list of favourites for the job.

He's done well everywhere he's been, and plays the type of football (most) fans have been calling for – and I appreciate the lower profile of those leagues, but it's all relative. Plus he won Australia their first-ever Asia Cup so I'm massively biased...

Not to mention, we can – and have – applied the same logic to the Dutch league with McClaren, de Boer etc.

How many crossroads are we going to be at during Levy's tenure? He must go because he will be at another crossroads in a year or two.
More crossroads than Blazin' Squad.

I’m actually not as against that scenario as I thought. Trying to picture Spurs without Kane I do wonder where our game changers are. Son, his form has dropped off so much this year I actually could see that maybe it is time. However, a front line refresh, on the assumption we could get a DoF and Manager on the same page, and target young hungry players with high potential who actually suit our league and potential playing style would actually feel like a serious reboot.

Love a Pastel de Nata.

Mason would be beyond underwhelming after this interim stint. He’s refreshingly honest in his press conferences, and does appear to want to try and change things, but has come across massively out of his depth tactically at this point in his career. It would feel like full acknowledgment of us merrily sliding back to mid table obscurity.

The odd one for me is Ange Postecoglou, I just don’t get the love in. Yes, he’s done well in the SPL, but so did Neil Lennon, Walter Smith, Alex Mcleish and Steven Gerrard. He’s not on my list of favourites for the job.
The love is due to him playing an appealing brand of football and he reeks of positivity.

He has done well at every club he has managed. He deserves his shot.

There's nothing more pathetic than constantly insisting on getting your "version" of events out to portray yourself as the one who walked away. Even worse when you do it 3 hours after the other side. You got fucked over, suck it up and move on ffs. This "no actually it was us doing the fucking over lol" nonsense is painfully transparent and just makes us look so weak and rudderless.

All the chickens are finally coming home to roost for Daniel.

And we'll all have to suffer for it.

This is it. People don't seem to realise but this is going to be far worse than 2021 and Nuno - which most seem to think was the nadir of Levy's reign - because then we had one final big money fall back option we managed to dig out.

That manager then went on one of the biggest tirades in football history, essentially decrying everything about the entire makeup of the club, all of which is ultimately down to Levy.

No manager with any sense would touch us with a barge pole. All Levy's years of games, of penny-pinching at the worst times, the terrible, amateurish, primary school-level PR (more of that today already), and the entire culture of failure he has created over 20 years, has finally come crashing down around him.

This isn't even rock bottom. The season ahead could be a genuine disaster for the club.

Let's be honest here, it's the money.

Its the reason we haven't really gone in for JN and it is clearly why we have baulked here.
Signing Managers (as in paying compensation), is different to players. We can't amortise the cost in the same way as you can for a player, it's all up front and on the books. Whilst we haven't been shy to pay a manager really well, paying high compensation to another club isn't something Levy does.

I am not saying it' right. The manager is a key part and we shouldn't scrimp, but you can understand why even a cash rich club like Bayern Munich are holding out for a good fee on JN, because they "foolishly" paid Leipzig too much up front, only to ditch said manager 18months later, that's pure loss. I assume this is what Levy fears.

Fucking hell. We can't even get a manager from Feyenoord. This club is absolutely rotten to the core. I hope Kane fucks off - he deserves better, and then Levy can try and justify his position when we have Neil Warnock in charge whilst fighting relegation.

My dad died suddenly yesterday and I am in bits. This news just pushes me further into a spiral.
Very sorry to hear this Sparx. Try to keep your head up during this difficult time. ❤️

Whole things smacks of indecision.
You identify the manager - you go all out to get them.

In his end of season notes Levy said the whole club were working tirelessly to bring the attractive winning football we craved. He lied, cos as of today he can’t guarantee even attractive football…

Postecoglu would be good for us.

I need only one reason to think this. It's quite simple and for all his doubters it should be the only thing you need to read to put your mind at ease.

The best run club in the league Brighton wanted him ahead of De Zerbi. Enough said.
