Because ultimately it's up to Levy.. No way Levy sanctions a Kane sale while this shit show is playing out and fans not happy.... Kane might not want to stay, but we've seen how that played out last time.... Kane will bide his time and walk away on a free with his head held high.

Exactly so levy throws away 100 million for one season

Because there is no way right now his staying

Daniel Levy’s position at the head of this club is untenable. That is all I know. When there’s 5 years of fuck ups - 6 different manager reigns, 3 DoFs, hundreds of millions spent on various players, over 25 transfers - and the one single constant in decision making is Daniel Levy?

yeah, it’s him.

fuck him and I hope that fans leave the stadium empty next season in protest.

A week left for ST renewals and I have absolutely no idea what I’d be paying for!

……..I’ll absolutely end up paying 😂 But it’s the principle dammit!

yeah it's insane isn't it, just going to renew because I've been going since I was 6 can't imagine not going, but basically paying through the nose for pure uncut misery.

If reports are true, you couldn’t get a better microcosm of all that is wrong with our club than being willing to spend 18M on Rodon, 15M on Spence, but not 15M on your first choice manager you hope will transform the team

I fear the process, and the 2021 process, have fatally doomed any manager Levy selects now. They will walk into a mess, precariously balanced on a razor's edge.

It now should be..... <insert the sensible choice> as our new manager, but it won't be.

..and this is the problem with us right now.

So - we’ve let Pochettino go to one of our biggest rivals, passed on the obvious top choice Nagelsmann, and our excuse for the above (aka Slot being our first choice the whole time) has now turned us down in favour of staying at a club in the Eredivisie with a wage bill 10x less than ours).

We are, once again, the embarrassment of the Premier League. So bored of this now.

It's like you create the misery in the first place. I don't want Poch back. I had not heard of Slot before the posts on here. So we get none of those.
Definitely not a case of embarrassment for me.
Bored of such negativity, at least wait to see who has been appointed before the moaning begins....

That's why it probably isn't the case.

I don't know who said it now but regarding "Amorim's Sporting averaged less possession in the CL' than Marseille etc.

You do realise that in both games against Marseille they went down to 10 and 9 men respectively.

First game the GK Adan was a total disaster. They went 1-up after 1 minute

This is how they started - 7 men in attack.
View attachment 126820

Then Adan had an absolute disaster class.

First he tried a long pass only for it to deflect into goal.
Then he came for a cross and left the goal almost completely open.
Then he came for a ball he had no need to go for and got sent off.

Second game, they were down to 10 after 19 mins.
Then down to 9 after 60.

So yeah..of course they had little possession!!

Why is no-one talking about their smart 2-0 win over us?
Or how they thrashed Frankfurt 3-0 and dominated?
How they thrashed Besiktas twice?
Or how they beat both Dortmund?
Or how they dominated Juventus and were unlucky to lose?

Yeah they get thrashed by City and Ajax, they also get outdone by Porto and Benfica but Amorim has a far inferior squad and has made some of these players look like world beaters...

A lot of players he lost haven't gone onto better things.
Trincão has been a disappointment elsewhere, yet has been very good for Sporting. Same with Porro
Gonçalves, Paulinho, Matheus Nunes, Ugarte etc all came form nowhere and bigger clubs want/wanted them.

Amorim won't demand big money players, he won't cause frictions or attack players. He is a good character.

He fits us in more ways than some can accept.

Agree. I’ve been keen on Amorim from the beginning. They play good football. Not supper attacking, but high press, and attacking possession-based. Amorim is also a really engaging and positive character.

If he really did impress in the interview and we know the release clause. I hope we just pay it and stop all this nonsense.

Amorim's communication is second to none. He really is a master at communicating things and he is adored for it.

Are you trying to say don’t go for the hottest girl in the club, go for the most desperate who won’t turn you down ?

Starting to feel like kicking-out time at the pub/club when you have yet to hook up now…

"So you are telling me there is a chance..."

All spot on , but for me more importantly right now, he seems to be making it really hard to be able to get someone of quality in, we are a biohazard sign.

If there is no chance of Slot, then anyone other than Nagelsmann really isn’t going to cut it!

Brendon Feckin Rodgers will likely mean DL has to enter the witness protection program!

What a depressing state of affairs! 😞

Honestly though you can feel it’s Brendan can’t you… just, if you think of the most Levy/Spurs thing that could happen at this point, it’s just Brendan.
