A new manager inherits a whole squad of new players so not sure what difference it makes. I hate this idea that players signed for Conte can't be great for another manager or play in different system.
True, but if Conte is leaving, how likely is it that Zaniolo wants to leave Italy for Spurs?

Going by Dimarzio's news this morning about Conte then I really can't see this deal or any other deal happening this window. Zaniolo under Conte I think would be quality but without Conte would a new manager coming in understand what Conte sees as the player is being played out of position and be able to get the best out of him.

70% of Roma's goals this season have come without Zaniolo on the pitch. Outrageous stat considering that Zaniolo has been an undisputed starter when healthy. Miracle that Roma was 3rd in xG last season and 3rd in xG this season even with someone like Zaniolo slowing down offensive play.

(Meanwhile, Dybala under Mourinho - 16 games: 10 goals, 3 assists.)

Says more about how awful Mourinho's Roma is this season without Dybala tbh

ITK says he wants to come (earlier this week, I think). Can’t remember who said it.
Was that before or after it appears that Conte wants to leave?

I suspect Conte is the primary draw for Zaniolo, not Tottenham. It’s hard to get Italian players out of Italy.

What news is that?

It’s an opinion. Not necessarily informed.
If Conte was really unhappy he would walk.

we need to put the cash on the table and get these players in

Exactly. From the detail in the DiMarzio article it sound like no decisions have been made either way.

It reads like he may wants to leave at the end of the season for personal reasons, but has no desire to rock the boat with the club and disrupt the rest of the season until he decides.

It’s Di Marzio - it’s informed. And why would Conte walk away? He will see out his contract just like anyone else.
Conte is famous for walking if not backed.

Also just because it’s Di Marzio doesn’t mean it’s informed. I live with my wife and she couldn’t tell you if I was going to quit my job
