If Conte is leaving why in earth are we signing players he wants? Honestly our club ( if as usual Dimarzio is correct) is an absolute shit show!

Because it isn’t certain he is leaving? This is really at the point of the battle of wills. Will the fans get their wish and remove Levy before he fails to back and pushes out Conte?

A. Not certain he is leaving
B. Maybe the club (Paratici) also want him
C. Maybe at 25mil it's a deal too good to turn down, especially if he turns out as good value as Deki and just needed some love to awaken his obvious talent

Plus will still have resale value in Italy if we don’t spend too much on him.

Maybe it’s just the optics, but my fucking god, why can’t we just NOT FUCK ABOUT with a transfer every once in a while. It’s fucking embarrassing.
This time IMO there is a reason..

Conte and Levy. Pistols at dawn.

It is just so blatantly clear we are a club going nowhere in the way we do business, Always looking at the bargain or loan with option stuff.
Will never go anywhere unless we are bought. Unfortunately it will be business as usual, We will complain, Spurs will keep increasing ticket prices and peopel will fill out the stadium. Levy laughs all the way to the bank

Quite possibly, but most on here are happy to take Dimarzio as Gospel when it comes to players being nailed in so no reason to doubt this?

And some fans are more worried about the unknown than the comfort blanket known as levy. Crazy.

Taking him on loan with a non-mandatory obligation sounds like a good idea. Even if Conte goes at the end of the season, the next manager can decide if they want to trigger a buy or not.

Zaniolo was rated as one of Italy's brightest talents a few years ago. His two ACLs really have set him back, but he played a vital role for Roma in the ECL.

It takes two to deal - why would Roma agree? And, for that matter, why would Zaniolo agree to such a short-sighted plan?

He’s only got 18 months left on his contract, no chance Roma would agree to what you’re suggesting.

If it’s not mandatory, it’s an option not an obligation.

Roma are not budging from their demands at the moment: Zaniolo will only leave under certain conditions, i.e. an outright transfer or mandatory buy-back. The lack of call-ups against Spezia and Napoli, for the next league match, has not changed the Giallorossi club's plans.

At the moment, the only offer Roma has received is that of Tottenham: a loan with a buy-back obligation linked to the player's appearances and Champions League qualification, for a sum between 20 and 25 million euros. The Giallorossi, however, do not accept at the moment, due to the lack of certainty of the redemption.

Zaniolo, AC Milan study the situation

At the moment, Roma have no intention of changing the conditions and have no other buyers, despite interest in the player is growing. Should the Giallorossi's conditions change in the future, Tottenham could then have the advantage. But then other avenues could also open up, including one that could, for example, lead to AC Milan.

The Rossoneri could in fact seriously consider the idea of buying him on loan, and for a sum similar to that offered by Tottenham, around 25 million euros. Milan are waiting and studying the situation.

Conte's team and the Rossoneri would also be the preferred destinations for the Italian striker, but everything revolves around Roma's evaluations, the relationship between the club and the player and the interest of other teams. In the meantime, the Giallorossi are probing the ground for a possible replacement: the first name is that of Zyech. A negotiation to be set and in any case difficult because of the high salary of the player who earns 6.5 million euros a year.
