I really don't understand what some people see in this kid. And trading Toby for him AND adding 27 mill in cash is such a ludicrously bad deal that I hope it's just not true.
Yeah but Toby isn't going to be here this time next year. Move on.

If the kid doesn't develop to the standard Spurs are looking for you'll make your money back.

This is business.

Having Toby an extra season is worth the 25 mill in his clause. We won't be making 27 mill back on this kid if he fails - and I see very few things about him that makes me think he will succeed in the PL. Sorry, that is bad business.

Don't think Toby will be featuring as much if the management know he is about to leave on a free in less than six months, bit part player moving forward as you develop those who want to stay.

Business is good for me.

If you don't want to be here now, under this manager in this team then I personally don't give two fucks about Toby.

Not sure why the dislike for this kid, think there is potential there, obviously you have seen him play more than me though, so all good.

He’s not good enough. If we bought him it would mean we wouldn’t sign any other midfielders this summer. He would become more dead wood we can’t shift next summer. Bad piece of business if it happened.

I’m worried about this deal. I really don’t see it with this kid, doesn’t seem to have any pace, no real standout attributes and seems a bit cumbersome too, not suited to the Prem at all and losing Toby in the process would just make it 10 times worse.

Lo Celso and Ceballos please.

I'm hoping this is just us trying to make them sweat on the Lo Celso valuation, but they seem worlds apart talent wise.

I disagree Toby will be playing for a lucrative contract somewhere else so he could be even better... I believe as he has been honest with Poch on his intentions so he will play him but rotate with the younger players also so they continue to get their experience.

I have no idea about the honesty and I doubt you do either, but I could see some rotation which is a fair point.

Just to pick up on other posters talking about Lo Celso and other transfer links - what do they have to do with Zaniolo, especially Lo Celso, completely separate from all of this I would assume.

It's probably all paper talk, but people certainly like to cross wires from obtuse points of view on here when it comes to transfer links.

Agreed honesty probably poor choice of worlds just think he is being up front about being open to leave as is Eriksen if he is offered a better deal.

Those saying no thanks to this guy have probably watched the same amount of games he played in as they’ve done with Lo Celso. I’ve barely watched both so I’m not in the position to turn my nose up at either.

The record for Italian attacking players coming to the prem is incredibly poor.
