it would be a disaster for football and just spread even greater disparity than we have already going down the netflix route might sound appealing but all it does is make the rich richer and so on - it pushes football towards a super league faster than anything

You're probably right.

I do wonder, however, whether the Spanish, Italian and German leagues might be forced to get together in the future and do this, to combat the Premier League's dominance.

I’m actually getting a little nervous now. Rumours Bentancur is out have unsettled me. I keep reminding myself that it’s just Norwich and that we don’t even have to win!
Bentancur looks ok to me.

Dean Smith, the Norwich manager has just said in his presser that their regular starting centre midfield of Normann and Gilmour are struggling for fitness, so much so Gilmour has been sent back to Chelsea for assessment.
Also their centre back Gibson hasn’t trained all week.

A half cooked Norwich team ready for the beach, come on boys, we’ve got this.

Confident. It's been the games *in between* the big matches where we've taken our eye off the ball. When we've been forced to focus, generally we've done the business - City x2, Liverpool x2, Arsenal, Burnley (H). There's no way Conte is letting anyone get complacent for Sunday. Bentancur or no Bentancur, we get the result. COYS!

Why are people gutted about Everton? It's in our hands. We don't need them the get a result. Only in the very unlikely event we did lose then yes of course. But with Conte I can't see him letting the players coast it.

We dug ourselves into a hole with a run of unfocussed and lethargic performances. There was little pressure on those occasions, but it's on now. Recent performances have shown that we can deliver under pressure, so I'm fairly optimistic we can get it done. Jeez, a point v the worst team in the League shouldn't be making us sweat.

Yep, Norwich will probably have more out injured than us if Gilmour and Gibson don't make it.
Interesting to see if Krull stays on the bench.

He's not training though, only gym work. Doesn't mean he's out just isn't ready to train as of yesterday.
Seems likely a late fitness test for him and Romero. If they're both doing bike work which is low impact but keeping fitness up. If they were out I'm sure they would rest so must be hopeful of being fit in time.

if i was dean smith i'd just name krul as keeper and leave it as that. always plays like prime zoff against us.

anyway, just get it done spurs. we've done incredibly well to get into this position (regardless of the scum implosion), time to see it home.

Some of our fanbase really need to up their mentality.

If you gave anyone in the league the chance to pick who they play last, they would pick the already relegated bottom of the table club.

Should we go there non fussed for a general kick about thinking we have it in the bag? Of course not. However we’ve got it back in our own hands, we need to beat the worst team in the division (or draw I know). We couldn’t set it up any better.

We have Kane, Son and numerous other match winners, sure Norwich will offer a bit of last home game fight.

As Conte has said though, it’s about smelling blood and going for it, finishing the job - all this “but oh it will be so us if we lose” it ends up transmitting to the players and gives it a nervous energy, we shouldn’t be thinking but what if we lose, this should simply be a very professional, let’s just go and get the job done.

This isn’t a 50-50 coin toss, mentally we need to be the boxer going out with the sole aim of finishing the fight.

We could be playing a pub team, I’m sure people on here would still be tipping us to lose. Have a bit of faith, you want a club that pushes on? Try pushing your mentality on too.
Agree with this, but also have to say that it’s going out and winning these matches that hardens this mentality in the fans.

Last few years results have led to this ‘weak’ mentality from fans, so hopefully we go out and put in a convincing performance.
One that convinces our fans that our winning mentality is back.

Is Krul their first choice or not? He seems to have started most of their games this season, but was on the bench for the last couple.

In their matches so far against the top 7 teams in the league, Norwich's record is as follows:

Played: 13, Won: 0, Drawn: 0, Lost: 13, Goals Scored: 4, Goals Conceded: 44.

If we fail to get at least a draw on Sunday we probably deserve to be liquidated.

Those stats make me hopeful we can win 19-0 and hope Chelsea lose so we clinch 3rd

Has it been confirmed he didn't train? Or just wasn't in the photos that we have seen?

It looked like everyone started off in the gym and then moved outside.
We didn't see photos of everyone who trained outside.

I hope he is ok to play, and if Romero is back that's great news as well.
