This is the kind of cobbled together line-up of out-of-favour players that I'm here for. Interested to see what he can get out of them and if any of them can step up and impress tonight. Particularly Gil, Sess and Rodon.

With motivated fringe players and a decent pitch I'm expected 3 goals by half time and then coasting in the 2nd half

I'd like to see Gil sat behind a front two of Kane and Alli rather than a front three of them.

Gil, N'dombele and Dele all auditioning to overtake Lucas, effectively.
Depends if we switch to 3-5-2 or stick with 3-4-3.
If 3-4-3 then Dele and Gil auditioning vs Lucas and Ndombele auditioning vs Winks/Skipp/PEH.
If 3-5-2 then yes to the above.

Nice to have some competition for places.

It's nice to know that whilst the team looks good and attacking enough on paper, that the game plan will be to actually play some nice football and attack to boot, not see all these lovely players on the team sheet but then only get to watch them scratch their heads defending their own penalty area for 90 minutes.

And also exactly this...(y)
100%.
If we see these 2nd string guys busting an absolute gut then to me that says a lot about Jose and Nuno rather than the players themselves.

If the likes of Ndombele etc are still just prancing around not giving 110% then it will show them up and we will know exactly who to move on.

I think it’s a mix of both, we have a few players who down tools too easily and don’t have the best attitude (Ndombele, Dele, Winks etc) but at the same time some of their lack of effort and Applicaton has been rightly or wrongly down to how they were managed by Jose and Nuno.

I think Conte will get the squad all pulling together as one now so anyone not putting a shift in will be obvious

I kind of hoped Bryan would be on the right - to compare to Lucas in the same role.

Bryan has a tough job getting into the squad playing on the left.

Manager playing a player in his best, and preferred position.

What a crazy world we now live in as THFC supporters.

"My favourite position is the left winger but I can adapt to any position the manager tells me," said Gil.

He was told to add butter and ketchup to his diet too

Do I not like that team.
Sensible mix for the occasion.
Opportunities for youth and fringe.
Proper Manager
showing his experience.
