Also when he spoke of a painful rebuild he was suggesting selling some of the longer serving players, not being absolute garbage for a season...

I agree that maybe he shouldn't be first team. Pochettino is not vital to this club anymore however.
If we're building a new team the manager is the head and imo should be backed 100.

You're only as good as your last game and conceding 7 goals especially by an ex gooner is a bitter pill.

Of course the day will come for Pochettinho to go however I still see the potential with the correct squad.

I agree with you that we need to remove several players. I don't have any faith in 2019 Poch to be the man to do it however.

Stability is great we've had that since Pochettinho came. Within that period Chelsea have changed at least 3 times Man United Leicester the same and all won trophies. There's life after Pochettinho but for me I'd like for Pochettinho to be given that green light to shift and recycle the squad

No manager ever gets all they WANTED, still have to work with what they got.
Yeah thats all good saying and I get where you're coming from but when players are waiting to leave on Bosman frees or refusing to sign contacts it can be disjointed.

We get a new manager he'll galvanise the squad up to a point then what? The damage is already done with certain players imo there's no coming back (Lloris as well) . There has to be a clear our of players but we all know how this works the manager will be gone first... Thats where Levy missed the boat slightly

Ok so we let him clear out all the players, start ANOTHER project, spend ANOTHER 5 years not winning anything and then when those players are sick of him what? Rinse and repeat?

Maybe there's a reason other than just bad luck that 7 or 8 of our players want to leave...

To say we need a total rebuild is bullshit - total.

Football changes and changes quickly.

I see lots of good players and yes, some that need to be moved on. They are still good players mind.

I think Poch has brought a lot on himself and especially the diamond.

But we have not been that bad - I actually thought and was thinking last night, we was decent first half. I think we have had bad luck last few games also.

One thing is certain mind - Poch has to buck up ideas and get back On positivity train. Enough of this negativity.

How sre we going to rebuild if dennis levy refused to take a loss for selling unwanted players

Look how long the likes of Janssen Nkoudou are here because levy doesnt want to sell at realistic prices

I can see the likes of Aurier being here for a long long time because no one is going to pay anything near what we paid for him

At the moment the rebuild needs to be just as much about our tactics as it does our personnel.

Poch must move away from this diamond formation. He seems to view it as a creative masterpiece and insist we play it, but it leaves us so stretched and exposes our fullbacks - who already are both not that great. With the current squad our formation should either go back to our successful 4231 or try to shift to a braver 433.

The teams below are in no way our strongest 11s, but using the players who look like they want to be here I think this is what it should be. A new RB and CB to partner Sanchez are our most pressing issues on recruitment.

I don't think Dier is the long term answer, but he is the only fit defensive minded midfield player we have. I also don't believe Winks should play that position - he is combative but is easily picked off and is guilty of over playing. Hopefully Lo Celso will get some game time once he is fit.

The only thing we can do with Dele is keep trying to play him into form and putting him back behind Kane will hopefully help, but Lamela should be the first name on the team sheet at the moment, it was a horrible decision to bench him against Bayern.

Eriksen, Toby, Rose, Aurier and Wanyama should be bench options. Some of them should never really play for the club again but we don't have much of a choice with injuries.

Why does he persist with the diamond? Even when you can see it's not working?
We were almost the old Tottenham first 30 minutes. I actually had hope we were going to win about 3-0 if we kept it up.
We don't suddenly have bad players. We have players who are spiritually damaged. It's the mentality that's not right. The way their heads went down when we conceded was awful. Last season we'd still believe we would win and came back from being behind many times. Now we just capitulate and don't believe we can win. It's 'Here we go again" :-(

A rebuild is necessary but buying wholesale rarely works.

We need the right quality and personality and that doesn’t become available all at once.

I believe we bought three good players in the summer and would be happy with one in January, then three more in the summer.

We need to mix signings with getting our current squad players up to level.
