Got some more bad news for you. Jim White has retired.
He's no longer there?!?!?!? Well thats my deadline day in the shitter then. I always take off deadline day and stream it online solely for the few hours of Jim White going crazy over transfers. God damnt!

Significant that French outlet La Pocheen have just released a story that THFC and Marseille have agreed to abandon the N'koudou and N'Jie deals? Apparently Mitchell was pushing the deal at our end according to that Guardian journo and there were reports Poch wasn't sure about losing N'Jie

I mean, I don't want to be libellous here, but I'd be amazed if there wasn't at least some kind of teabagging/motor-boating/frotting involved by someone, somewhere. Even if it was just A&C.

Let's just take it as a given that Nkoudou will now win the Ballon D'or in a Chelsea shirt in under three years time then! Lol.

What's Frank Arnesen doing these days? He always struck me as "the one that got away", that man who identified Ronado (fat).

Perhaps he can follow-up Rodrigo Defendi with Johan Getintheya, Petr Blokdigol and Matt Asistalot.

Or Damien Commoli, the man who turned on the fax machine during the transfer of Emmanuel Petit.

It's for a position with England guys. Big Sam has specifically asked for him to be his stats man. He will also cast his eye over call ups for all the England teams below the senior side.
Something like that anyway.

He's a pundit on Danish TV after being sacked by Hamburg and PAOK after making some dubious signings. He's a really bad pundit as well.

Tony Carr will do then, anyone who discovered Rio, Lampard, Cole, Payet etc is worth hiring
Okay. To start with, Payet is 29, and signed for West Ham last summer, in a transfer that was likely nothing to do with their by this stage former head of academy. He was never anything to do with player recruitment at West Ham.

Also the role he would presumably fill is not one of those which has left us today. John McDermott is our Head of Player Development, and is still with the club. Replacing the head of an academy which in the last few years has produced the likes of Walker-Peters, Rose, Caulker, Carter-Vickers, Winks, Bentaleb, Mason, Onomah, Townsend, Edwards, Pritchard and Kane amongst others, with the 65-year-old RETIRED (he was not sacked, he retired and took on an ambassadorial role) head of what was an incredible academy 20 years ago, seems a very illogical and strangely thought out plan.

Tony Henry is the guy responsible for their good dealings of late.

I would say look him up but it is very hard to find information on him.

Worked for Moyes at Everton then Sunderland then West Ham.

Doubt it, considering he massively disses us in this article. Implies we're the same level as Swansea.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/may/17/sevilla-monchi-liverpool-europa-league-final
He doesn't massively dis us, he just basically says they can compete with us in the transfer market but not someone like Chelsea.
"if a player says: ‘Chelsea want me,’ I say: ‘What are you talking to me for, then?’ But if Swansea or Spurs want you, let’s talk. I sell the city, the club: a serious club that pays as promised, which sounds trivial but isn’t.”

Believe Caplehorne deals with a lot of the negotiations these days anyway according to an article I read recently...

No - she does the legal paperwork. She's Club Secretary - Darren Eales and John Alexander's old job.

John McDermott is the one who has been given most of Baldini's old DoF responsibilities.

I wonder if we have replacements in mind, I wouldn't imagine they would be moved on if that was not the case.

If an employee quits - not much you can do. Sounds like we have some time to work out a transition, but its not our choice that they are leaving, so we probably do not have anyone lined up immediately.

This is probably more to do with club size and how we run it as opposed to anything else and he got frustrated.

Remember when Harry first joined us? He said the big difference was we had people to do everything. As in at Southampton he used to pick up the net bag full of the balls ready for training whereas at Tottenham not only did we have people who did that the morning session was already set up and ready.

The same for Mitchell. He was probably a lot more hands-on and had more decision making powers at Southampton and it's not for him hence being linked to the likes of Leicester and Everton which are probably more suited.

Either way it's just not that bigger deal on the scale of things and he will be replaced.

Yet he is credited with building the scouting network that wasn't there before.

the way I see it, Poch has been granted more authority in identifying players he wants from the title changed he had when he got his contract extention signed..

but that will not IMO affect or undermine Mitchell's job scope.. if there was, Mitchell is probably too young and taking that too hard.. Poch is someone I feel who always respect people alot..

and if some people thinks because of Mitchell's departure, Poch will be affected and is losing an ally and feel undermined and distrusted or whatever, come on..... they are grown up men working professionally earning millions... this is not a teenage school environment!

definitely I have no doubt Levy is some difficult person to work with.. and also personally feel N'koudou's deal is a driving force in this departure if reports are to be believed, especially on the ones saying Poch rates Njie (which I am quite glad).. everything just points me to Mitchell just not feeling at home...

seems terrible news on surface, but really I find it not that bad the media wish to paint it.. Poch, our manager, will steer the ship well without much hiccups I am quite confident.. is just a small and quick storm now.. no hard feelings too I reckoned..
