I don't know enough about Juve but would Eriksen be a good fit for them?

If so, and Christian happy to go there, perfect deal all round.

Unfortunately I think Christian only has eyes for Spain.

I was always slightly skeptical as to whether this Dybala deal would get over the line, but even still Ornstein's info makes no sense. The clubs have obviously been in discussions for a while about it and it was Juve's idea to get rid of Dybala in the first place so for Ornstein to be right the following sequence of events would have to occur:
  1. Juve decide they want to move Dybala on and start shopping him around
  2. Juve and Dybala meet with several clubs, including Spurs, to discuss details
  3. Juve and Dybala continue to have talks with Spurs and reach some kind of deal in principle and go away to draw up the paperwork/work out the specifics
  4. Despite all this going on for a week or so, a few short hours before the transfer deadline, Juve suddenly out of nowhere realise "Hang on a minute, if we sell him, then we probably need to buy someone else! Oh shit" and then suddenly pull the plug on everything.
THat just doesn't make any sense unless Juve were West Ham levels of incompetent (which they aren't usually) OR they've just been stringing us along for shits and giggles, which doesn't really make sense because they're the ones who decided to try and shift Dybala in the first place.

Personaly, I think Ornstein is full of shit. Not saying I think the deal will go through, it may well fall down, but I don't believe that them all of a sudden deciding they need to sign a replacement first will be the reason for it.

Sarri really likes Eriksen, but seems like Juve want a traditional forward, like Lukaku/Icardi. And, as you say, Eriksen wants Spain

You'd think they'd prefer the big money to come in than a small fee?

Who knows. These Italian transfers always have loan components. Very odd.

The most optimistic view would be that we pulled out not having image rights resolved and Juve have now suggested this loan option as a workaround?

Ironically, the most insightful thing that’s been posted in here is JJ saying he has no idea what’s happening.

I’d imagine we’re at least an hour away from getting information that isn’t just people throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks.

Maybe they had a replacement all lined up but it then fell through?
