Why would we be holding yet another meeting in the coming hours as Agresti has reported if we didn't think the image rights issue (or a cheeky loan workaround) were solvable? I understand the pessimism but surely it's the case that the club holds out some hope.

The link to Juve needing a replacement (Icardi) is an intriguing one considering Lukaku is joining Inter on Deadline Day (when he doesn't need to). Why is the Lukaku move being pushed through today when there's still a few weeks left of their window? Clutching at straws for sure, but maybe the domino does hold much strength

I can see why they wanted it. Settled squads for the start of the season. However, it doesn't work when every other league closes at a later date. All deadlines should be the same IMO.
Think the premier league arrogantly thought that everyone would follow suit and close their transfer window at same time. That obviously hasn’t happened though.
Surprised after it was so clear last summer that it didn’t really work they still kept it closing early this summer

You answered your own statement. You just said IF its beneficial. That is why Juventus would need to get the replacement in, before they allow him to leave. It may not be beneficial for Inter to sell him to Juventus for example, they may prefer to sell him to another club in Europe.
He's an awkward bastard and has practically already said the only place he wants to go is Juve. Most clubs won't go near him because of his wage demands, crazy missus and general baggage.

I really think it's Juve or bust for Icardi.

I think that is the final nail in the coffin then. My hatred of the 'image rights' knows no bounds.

He's just said that meeting pretty much ended the deal :- (

Agresti again. Sounds over after a failed meeting this afternoon.

New meeting in the early afternoon between #Juventus , #Tottenham and entourage #Dybala : another black smoke regarding the image rights. The Spurs are definitely pulled out ⛔️??@GoalItalia

Does this mean a new meeting this afternoon? Or the new meeting already happened?? Not exactly clear...

Okay hear me out: it’s been widely documented that Juve need Dybala gone to either comply with FFP and / or sign Icardi. What if their interest in Lukaku was to pressure Inter to sell them Icardi, and if they can get an initial agreement in place today with Inter they’ll loan us Dybala with a mandatory obligation to buy next year, covering Icardis fee?

Edit: I’m massively clutching I know. But who lets a deal get to this stage and randomly pulls the plug last min. Would be absurd behaviour.
This is exactly how im clutching ?
