So if we took him on loan and we still couldn't solve the image rights come next year - what would actually happen?

Edit: I sense "Paperbag-over-head / N'koudo body suit jokes incoming

Can we get GLC and Sessegnon on the official site as signed first before I allow myself to get carried away with any dreams of Dybala?

It all rests on Eriksen. If he leaves this window is pretty poor, if he stays it's OK and if he signs on it's very good.
I don't think so. IMO Ndombele was the massive one this signing alone is an improvement on the squad and Poch primary target if we conclude with Lo Celso and Sessegnon and Eriksen leaves we have still improved

Loan deal with compulsory purchase, loan fee equal to the first payment. Then iron out the image rights.

Deadline day deals can often pan out like a one big game of chicken - one side threatens to walk away, the other tries to call their bluff, the deal is "dead" at 2pm and miraculously resurrected an hour before the window shuts. This deal is further complicated by the addition of an extra interested party in the form of the image rights holders.

This may appear to be all over now (and that might well actually prove to be the case come 5pm), but both clubs and the player seem to want this deal to happen, so I reckon it could still re-ignite at some point in the next 3 hours.
3 hours?! :unsure::unsure:

We knew it would be hard, very entertaining though.

Hopefully we can revisit it in January or next summer.

This image rights/third-party nightmare always seems to be with the South American players. I wouldn't be surprised if it's totally corrupt and you have to sign up with one of these shysters to get a club over there, but then your career's held to ransom if you ever do make it big.
For a great insight into these ‘image-rights’ companies and 3rd party dealings, you should check out the Football Leaks book by the guys from Der Spiegel. Fascinating, yet scary, look into how the business side works.

Doesn't matter so long as we win the League and the Champions League in the meantime. ;)

To be fair, I was responding to something that was calling this a great window as of now with the the expected incomings of Sess and GLC. So that was the parameter for my response too.

I think my first response said enough on the matter, Tibs. Onwards and upwards, let's not write a match report at half time. (y)
