A bit of fun whilst we wait for manager/players to sign. If there was a machine that could merge a current Spurs player with a past Spurs player who would you choose in order to improve our side and why? Remember, has to be a player on the current squad list.

I think I'd go with Tom Huddlestone merged with Gazza. I'm not quite sure how it would work but the thought of a 6'4 monster with an ability to ping balls around combined with a guy who will burst through midfield, always be the centre of attention, grab goals etc would be absolutely awesome for us in the middle of the pitch and would suit the current style of play in the Premiership.

Of course Gazza's drinking problems combined with Tommy's eating problems may cause a few off-field problems for any coach.

Defoe and Greaves, so we have at least got a great striker on the books

Ginola with Lennon.
Anderton with Rafa.
Sheringham with Defoe.
Jennings with Gomes.
Ossie and Parker.
Hoddle and Sandro.

Do we have to give reasons?

Bale and Sheringham = complete player; 2-footed, intelligent, scores himself + create goals for others.
King + Mabbut = fit, clever defender

Bentley and Razor Ruddock...combine DBs undoubted talent with someone who wasn't going to wimp out at the first sign of trouble.
