A lot of money to pay, but if he was our number 1 target, all good
Agree, if he was indeed our number 1 attacking target then i look forward to seeing him for us. We must have a very clear idea of how he will work in the system and how he will improve our front line.

One website shows him playing all over the place , not sure what happened to their ratings though.

I thought he played as rwf far more than that, but could play as a striker. Hadn't realised he played quite that many as centre forward.

The money is irrelevant if he’s the right player

This site is far too caught up in the financials of deals

Excellent addition to the attacking options. Brings something a little different to the others with his pace and work rate.

I am a big fan of having options over automatons. It gives the coach the ability to tweak the starting line-up and tactics based on the opposition. Likewise, it's a little harder for opponents to plan against us.

I remember last season and the one before where a few coaches basically said that they knew exactly what to expect and would devise tactics around it. Conte's system was extremely rote. Yes... effective when it worked, but not difficult for other managers plan for. EG: Everyone knew that if you stacked the midfield, we'd get overrun. Especially when the likes of Bentancur wasn't playing.

Ange's system is less predictable. Even more so when you add players with different skill sets to the table.

I don't see johnson as the next this or that. As this method of football is all about the collective over individual brilliance. In that sense, quite similar to Brighton.
