He is 100% good enough, you can see the quality he has in 5 seconds.

He’s played well in La Liga for years, then he was under Conte here - did he even get two starts?

He may well end up being our surprise of the season and being prominent for us

Agree. A real player there. A but too lightweight still but he is far more suited to success under Ange than any of the previous managers so far

I always wondered why our fitness experts have not made him bulk up a bit. Should not be too hard to put on a bit more muscles with the right diet/resistance training.

Aside from briefly under Nuno, he hasn’t actually been used on his preferred left side as one of those kind of wingers who actually prefers to play on correct side! 😱😱

Feels like he's well suited to an instinctive pass and move team. Doubted he'd get chances with Son on the left and Perisic in the mix, but both of those things have changed. If he's fit he'll have a chance to stake a claim.

I was wondering about Gil yesterday, i was gutted he got injured because as a player who wants to play on the left wing, is left footed and picks up intelligent spots and is aggressive in closing down other players i feel he would be ideal and now would have been the perfect time, still without Perisic now he is needed even more, especially if say solomon gets an injury. I hope he can come back in soon and get a few chances.

Also a big plus of Gil that hasn’t been mentioned is his stamina. Obviously he’s probably lacking match fitness currently but I still remember how he was the last one standing for those Conte drills. That could be invaluable for Ange.

I can understand him not making the Liverpool team considering he only just returned to full training but one has to hope he's up to speed enough, even if lacking match fitness/sharpness, to make the bench.

Comes to think of it now, is amazing he's being signed since then. He always look like a new signing to me. Really hope there is a proper time and chance to prove himself with us now.

When I was watching them he played on the left.
Also states the same.
Also the reports gives a hint, that the right flank is not the best choice for him (https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/player-analysis-bryan-gil/).

Only time I saw him for Sevilla was against Barca on the left and he looked very good. I think he suits the role well for this system. We need the width with Udogie coming inside. Also don't really cross from that side without Perisic but I think he's capable of a good cross.

Really hope he is fit enough to at least play 10 to 20 mins on the weekend. With Perisic and now Manor out for three months, this is a big, big, big opportunity for him to step up and make a case for making that left forward position his own. Hope he embraces it fully.

As with Lo Celso, I have zero doubts about his qualities - in general but especially in the Ange system we now play under. If either of them can stay fit long enough to show that quality is the question.

If they can then suddenly, apart from CB, our squad depth issues evaporate to a significant degree.

Can't help but thinking that Bryan is lowkey bumping all of the wingers off behind the scenes so that he can finally get a sodding chance.

Hope that he's up for a few minutes in these next couple and shows some quality.

Where are you getting that from? If you mean his loan last season he played on the left although he did start a few games as an AM. Once or twice he switched to the right mid match but he was mostly used as a LW. Normally for Sevilla he would stay quite wide left and hug the touchline, he’d actually play quite similarly to how Perisic has been this season. He would cut in of course but usually when he’s closer to the box. He would mostly be receiving the ball wide tho.

When we bought him I watched a number of the compilation videos of him on you tube.

The thing I remember was how he often went outside his full back on the left and produced dangerous crosses. Hopefully hes not forgotten how to do that, especially if we have Richarlison CF.

He’s the player I’ve want to see get a real chance for the longest time. Hopefully he gets a shot, could do real well with Udogie.
