cant see why he would go to Inter now, might as well wait and leave for a free, would imagine we are a bigger club than Inter anyway

He will play Champions League next year, he will be competing for the title this season and he probably will play in a no10-role behind Lukkakku and Lautaro. Not defensive midfielder as now...

Eriksen holds all the cards, he'll only leave this January if the offer is right, but I would think all the interested clubs are competing to sign him on a free in the summer.

At the moment, nah.
Inter are top of the league and we’re 6th. Conte and Lukaku has made a big impact for them. Also he wants a new challenge and Milano seems nicer than London I reckon. Can fully understand that move when RM/Barca don’t want him.

It's a sideways step and not what he initially wanted. But I just think he needs the change now, no matter what club.

Getting paid to stand still in Italy while not having to miss the first man from a corner. I'm surprised he hasn't gone yet.

Inter a sideways step? Give me a break. They might’ve had a rough period lately but they’re one of the most successful clubs on the planet.

People need to stop thinking that we are a top table club. We are not. This won’t change until we enjoy a good decade of consistent, sustained success.

Also just look at what Inter have done to push on under Conte and back him. They brought him 7 first team players this summer and now looking to add more.

We've been far better than them ever since we met them in the Champions League (close to a decade), their fortunes are on the up now - remains to be seen if ours could should we land on our feet.
We pay good money now, and our facilities are the best in the world.

Ancient history doesn't matter much. It's not the step Eriksen originally wanted, that's the main point, though something new which he needs.

Danish paper Ekstrabladet now also running the story with their own sources (which is usually sometimes reliable).

(quick G-translate)

Forget about Real Madrid, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

Christian Eriksen is unlikely to end up moving from Tottenham.

According to Ekstra Bladets Information everything indicates that an agreement with Italian Inter is near the forest.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio next first link between Inter and Christian Eriksen a few days ago. And the extra hot Italian interest, Ekstra Bladet, has been confirmed from nearby sources in the football environment.

Price: 150-180 million kr.
Inter-manager Antonie Conte knows the Danish creator from his past as a Premier League manager at Chelsea. And Conte has reportedly pointed to the Dane as one of the trumps in his pursuit of waiving Juventus the normal Serie A championship.

An agreement between the parties may be ready to be finalized over the next few weeks, so a change can happen to her in January. At least that's the starting point.

The transfer fee is expected in countries in the range of DKK 150-180 million for the 27-year-old Dane who has played in Tottenham since the summer of 2013.

Stands with strong cards
Christian Eriksen is currently on the cards with stronger cards, because he has transferred to summer. If Tottenham gets too "greedy", he can wait to sign a deal this summer, so he even scores and struggles signing on because there is no post-season transfer fee.

Conversely, Christian Eriksen has also recently experienced life in Tottenham's bench, where Jose Mourinho has rarely set the Dane's way. It has been a major upheaval by going from regular player and profile to substitute and marginal player.

Denmark's best footballer is on his way to his best football age and has no time for games and half a year in the bench at Tottenham, which is true, which will not qualify for the Champions League after a miserable season.

In contrast, the challenges look promising in Inter, which is currently side by side with Juventus in pursuit of the championship. The Italian tradition club is investing heavily.

Offered up to DKK 100 million kr.
But Tottenham have spent a lot of energy and shown tremendous determination to look at the Dane.

According to Ekstra Bladet's sources, Tottenham has long been desperate to extend the deal with the Dane.

The club has thus been willing to offer Christian Eriksen and sign-on at the bottom of 100 million. DKK, if he would extend the agreement with the club.

For Christian Eriksen it is clearly not about money, men to a much greater extent about new challenge. About a new league and other impulses in weekdays.

- I feel I am a place in careers where I would like to try something new, Christian Eriksen said last summer when the season was over.

He did not get anywhere in the summer when the price was reportedly in the region of DKK 300-350 million. kr.

Now he has to be sold if Tottenham just has to have some money in the box for the Dane.

It has not been possible to get a comment from Christian Eriksen's agent, Martin Schoots.

Seems like the inter rumour is gathering pace. Would be very underwhelming move for him imo. They are below us in terms of stature in recent years, play in a weaker league and are unlikely to challenge for domestic or European honours so what's the point

They're top of Serie A, have Conte in charge and are very much on the up at the moment.
