Serie A less fast paced, less high tempo n pressing , even a 70% eriksen would kill it there, he will have time to twardle and fanny about and still wont have ball taken off him and time to make the pass.....

The vids of him arriving there ... wow he seemed proper grumpy initially lol

So Inter have Eriksen waving to the fans...we have Bergwijn stuffed in a hotel room turning into Capt. Willard.

All as usual then.

Will be interesting to see if he can pick it up again in Italy, I think the game has changed a lot to a faster paced, athletic pressing game and consequentially there's been the decline of the traditional #10s like Ozil, Eriksen, Mata, Isco, etc.

The future seems to me to be the more all action creative players like Lo Celso, De Bruyne, Grealish, Maddison. Intriguing to follow the future of Eriksen's career. I don't think you can just go off the boil for 18 months and expect to pick up at the highest level again like nothing happened.

The years we played our best football he was one of our best players and I remember a period where he scored some really important goals for us. Sadly his dip in form directly corallated to one of our worst periods of football and the two are directly linked. If he still had his best form this would be catastrophic but that ship has long sailed. The king is dead, long live Gio the King!

All things considered, I think Levy has done really well for us on this deal.
Held out for a decent wedge, yet managed to get it done with time still left in the window.

Do Italian football fans not have jobs or something. Find the whole waiting at the airport and outside the stadium/office for a glimpse of a new signing very strange

I think getting 20 mil for him is good business, and I'll tell you why. Yes we could've sold him for like 70-80 mil in the summer of 2018 but if we had, would we have made that run to the Champions League final? I personally don't think so. Now- obviously it's impossible to know how things would've played out as none of us (except for possibly A & C?) has a crystal ball, but what we all do know is that Christian Eriksen was integral to us getting all the way to Madrid. Indeed- without him I doubt we would've even made it out of the group stages!

His goal vs. Inter @ Wembley, his passing vs. Barcelona at the Camp Nou...the guy was a major part of us gutting out wins/draws/whathaveyou and I just have that feeling that no Eriksen would've meant no Final. Yeah- sure- maybe Fernandes would've slotted in for him and we would've won the thing- who knows- but I personally just feel like he was the player we required at that time in order for that magical run to occur- a magical run which netted us well in excess of 100 million Quid.

So yeah, perhaps we didn't fully "cash in" on him at the perfect time when we had the chance- but his remaining with us did result in an incredible stretch of games for Tottenham, an epic run which not only garnered us a ton of dosh but, as well, hugely raised our profile worldwide. Nowadays people everywhere know who we are, and Christian Eriksen helped make that happen.

Anyway, now that he's gone I'm actually relieved. I hate wantaways; him and Danny Rose I want as far away from my beloved club as is humanly possible. I'll take a thousand Ryan Sessegnon palm-to-forehead mistakes over one "I don't give a flying fuck about my idiot teammates; I just wanna go home and watch The Crown"-type thousand-yard stare from Eriksen. I don't hate Eriksen but he seemed to hate playing for the club I adore, so therefore I don't love him at all. Basically I care as much about him- and his post-Tottenham career- as he did about our club and its supporters for the past two years.

So yeah, he is now a complete non-entity to me; as to how well he does in Italy, I couldn't give a rat's ass.

Fuck him.

It's because we don't sign many players so not used to all that hype  seems to be a European thing as I am sure Spanish clubs get this for big players also

Levy really messed this 1 up did'nt he.

18 months ago we could have got £80m for him.

Tough call on that one. While he didn't play all that well last year, he did contribute in our Champions League run up. the goal against Inter when we were on our way out just to start. He also assisted Sonny if i remember correctly in the Man City game. On balance, he certainly wasn't up to his usual self last year but at the same time, his contributions weren't a complete waste.

Great point. I might be completely wrong but Poch squeezed every last drop out of him.
