Fucking hell, you can't say c u next Tuesday on a football forum for a London based team with an Australian manager?

That's just weird

Since becoming Vice Captain, I think he has excelled in stopping others from getting into trouble. I seem to remember him pushing both Royal and Richarlison away from situations that could have got them booked.

However, he can't seem to escape it himself - especially against Chelsea, the situation and emotions just seem to get to him. I wonder if the club has considered investing in specialist help for him to manage these big occasions.

He is a terrific player but he loses his head all too often. He will never be a calming influence like Toby, but he could definitely improve in knowing when to step back or when to keep a low profile when walking a tightrope.

I think we're agreeing really.

What I'm saying is that Madrid players get away with things a spurs player could never dream of.

Therefore Romero needs to chill the fuck out.
Also - Madrid in the Ramos days had talent that meant they could still walk over teams with 10 in a top heavy La Liga. We don't have that luxury in the EPL.

I don't understand why so many keep mentioning Ramos, in his time there wasn't var so it's totally different case now.
He got sent off a lot that's why. That was without var and he got sent off more than Romero is so far in his career.

On the whole we're better with him and his faults than without him. Talk of getting rid is crazy. He's one of the best defenders in the league. His temper is what makes him such a good defender. We will just have to live with the risk and hope he can change a little.

i actually think Udogie cost us the game more. He should have been sent off for an even worse tackle and then lunges in when there was no need to. Why isn't he getting the same treatment?

We're definitely going to be worse off without him over the next few games.
I think Romero most likely cost us the win and 3 points, with 10 we might have been able to get a draw, Udogie again was reckless but in comparison, that most probably extinguished any hope of even salvaging a draw and preserving our unbeaten run so that most likely cost us one point.

The injuries, arguably Van Der Venn as a result of being overstretched at the back and pulling up like that, only time will tell over the next two months or so how many points we lose as a result of key players not being available. We're going to be put to a stern test now for sure and some of the fringe players will have to step up to the mark so we have to wait and will see how that pans out, I have my concerns even if I was encouraged by the team spirit, because we are going to need that in huge buckets and spades during this tough period where some of this was self inflicted ill discipline.

Unless we appeal and get it reduced. Not seen anything though and not sure it will be worth it
No point at all in doing that. He deserved the red and should have been carded earlier. It's the same with Udogie they both got away with one and appeared to learn nothing from it. Both stupid and both fully deserved.

I would appeal the red. The league has already deemed a follow through clearance as not a red. Balbuenas red was rescinded for an equally bad, or worse, looking clearance.

Whether or not he should've been carded or sent off earlier shouldn't have any bearing on an appeal for a different incident. I think it's worth an appeal in that I don't think it would be deemed frivolous (and his ban extended) if it was rejected.

Whereas Curtis Jones‘ follow through was upheld and he still received a three game ban.
