Hmm that would be odd to me. He’s been on our radar such a long time and even if Rose stays, which I hope he does, Sess would have a role to play. Rose would be ideal for him to be understudy to and not much benefit to Sessegnon playing at championship level again.

I think the player will want the move and I don’t think Fulham will try to stand in his way.
40mill and onamah is standing in the way

Is it possible given Danny's numerous flurries into the Uk press about mental health that he has gone to the club and asked them to let him leave if he can find the right deal. Maybe the club have been considerate to this end, hence leaving him out of a Shanghai trip. Maybe there is no break down in relationship, and maybe all parties are happy for him to stay.
This is so obviously a correct summary of the situation it didn't even need Herc's response.

It's also far too sensible for this forum at this time of year - go and sit on the naughty step.

Which is utterly ridiculous.
Just as €80m or whatever for Lo Celso is. 10 years ago I might have been among the "FFS LEVY, JUST PAY THE MONEY!!!11!1" crowd but older me is actually sort of proud that our club has consistently sought to stick to its principles.

In before the google jokes.

Anyway, good. We need a relatively stable back 4 for when the season starts, so no issues for me in keeping him and hopefully bringing in Sess as his long term successor.

But DR not wanting to leave and him beig offered a new contract/Poch wanting to keep him are not necessarily tied together.

Still, doubt there is even time to resolve this this window anway.

"Wanting to leave" is always a statement made with a clear destination in mind.

Seems there are no decent enough suitors willing to match Levy's valuation and/or Danny Rose's personal preference.

If Rose wants to stay, is there any chance we don't take Sessengnon now and wait a year to get him for free?

My hunch, depending how how many we have stocked up in attack, is that Rose and Sessegnon become the left back options and Davies makes a more permanent move to CB, potentially with a view to replacing Vertonghen if he cuts it there.
