Just seen his stroppy chat with Jose. Cant be 100% sure it wasnt edited to make him look like a bit of a bleep, but he lost his rag a bit. I know.he reflected afterwards with some reality. But he seems to be hard work. That said, I liked him saying it as it was.

I have a soft spot for Danny though and he is really likeable to me. Csnt do anything but wish him well.

The slower pace definitely suits older players in general. Moses hasn't been very good, Eriksen been complete turd but Young and Smalling have looked very good. A more tactical disciplined game means that physicality is only used in bursts, not all the time and Young in particular has looked a different player.

Serie A is also an improving league, with lots of young players coming through and teams are becoming more competitive in Europe again. It feels the league is finally recovering from calciopoli and is probably as healthy as it's ever been since 2006. I think calling it a retirement home is a little bit silly. Players going there are likely to be able to challenge in Europe and Champions League and Europa places are very competitive.

Having said that Genoa and Caligari are relegation fodder, which is sad as both are historically very important teams.

I’m now pining for the days of Gazzetta Football Italia.

A retirement home is where old people go and in this case the Italian League is rife with older players. Juventus and Inter have more over 30s between them than the top 4 EPL clubs combined.

Why?

He's a useful player, recent English imports to Serie A have been hits, the likes of Young and Smalling were considered washed out before coming to serie A but have found a new lease of life there. Teams probably feel the same could happen with Danny Rose.

Because of the racism is why.

It's an issue for sure. As it also is here, though less blatantly, but it's not stopped others.

Btw Lukaku is a fucking hero, fighting such awfulness and is doing a very good job in what will be a very long fight.

If Rose and Aurier go, then by my count we’ve shed £415k/week since January: Vertonghen (100k), Eriksen (75k), Aurier (70k), Wanyama (65k), Rose (60k), Vorm (30k), KWP (20k). While only adding around 300k/week Hojbjerg (100k), Doc (80k), Bergwijn (75k), Hart (20k), Gedson (sub 20k).

That gives me hope that we still have a decent amount of room to add in the rest of the transfer window. We were close to break even on wages last summer too even after giving Ndombele massive money.

A retirement home is where players go to end there careers in a relaxed easy environment. I would say Serie A is just a place were older players can maximise their careers, in a league which has time for and values what older players can bring.

That makes total sense. Well it would if you hadn’t just guessed numbers

Really disappointed in how Danny was portrayed in the documentary.

Danny has been an outstanding servant for this club and probably the best left back I can remember playing for the club in the last 40 years. Every budding comedian on social media seems to have cracked a crap gag about AC Milan when the news broke that it looks like he’s off to Genoa. He does not deserve this.

Admittedly, I estimated a bit based on the limited public information about our recent signings, though I suspect it’s a pretty informed estimate. Of the salaries we’ve gotten rid of, that’s pretty clear public record.

He is a bellend. He hasn’t been an outstanding servant, he has taken every opportunity to have a dig when he can. Ledley was an outstanding servant to our club, Ginola was, Superjan was, Danny Rose hasn’t been

Technically we'll have added Gio, too

Are you disappointed about how he was portrayed in all the papers, too? They can't show something that wasn't there - we've had him a while, and it's just how he is.

If you're referring to twitter, you'll find nothing but trash there regardless.
