I think we all wished and hope that he would get his move to a new club this summer. Hope he does not rot in the under 23 team, he’s been loyal to us and deserves better imo

That’s not the impression I get. By all accounts he’s been ostracised from the first team because he was a negative influence and had been leaking stuff to the press. In the documentary he came across as a selfish, petulant crybaby. He had a great couple of seasons for us under Poch, but I’d never describe him as loyal.

This. He has always demanded his place believing he is better than those around him. You have seen Trix state that he gave one of his interviews against the advice of his agent. He has always been disrespectful to the manager and members of our squad. The google thing was absolutely not on too, we didn’t all kick off about it but basically he was saying our signings (his team mates) weren’t good enough. Like they would all know who he was.

Toby has been pretty clear that the squad didn’t like the leak trying to undermine Jose.

The guy just needs to leave and people need to keep words like loyal away from him. I’ve been one of many to give a Serge pelters, but fuck me the guy is a professional and I respect that.

It’s not like the club didn’t give him options this window. Spurs would have made up pretty much all the wage difference for whatever club he went to, so he wouldn’t have been out of pocket (because Spurs’ alternative would be to fully pay his contract out, which is what Trix is suggesting is about to happen).
It would appear Danny’s arrogance or stubbornness have stopped him getting a new club, nothing else than that.

I’d suggest that part of the reason that he wouldn’t have been up for a wage share type loan is that it got personal between him and Levy. Rose wanted Levy to have to pay the full contract out of spite, and Levy never forgave him for the leaks to the Sun.

He probably won’t get it all anyway. He will probably have to compromise to be allowed to leave a s a free agent

have some wonderful memories of Rose in a Spurs shirt, pity about all the stuff now and non football issues he has.
best for all if and when he leaves.
hope all works out for him in the end.

Loved Rose in a Spurs shirt, loved his passion and his desire.

Sad it's ending this way, but I wish him well, some great times at the club and that's what I'll focus on.

Shame about the interviews, spoke up and said what a lot of fans were thinking, but didn't do him or the club any favours.

Sounds like it's best for all parties that he leaves and finds himself a new club, but that doesn't take away from the good years we had with Rose.

I wish Danny Rose nothing but the best. I'm not too botherwd by what allegedly happened behind closed doors... We do not get to hear the other side of the story ever..... Or years later... Remember Toby/ Walker and later Trippier being pushed out?

Whilst I love my club, I'd tend to er on the side of the player.. They have short careers and although they handsomely rewarded we should not begrudge them their salary. the club do make millions off of their players in any event.

It's a pity the relationship soured to the extent that it has... I do hope he goes on to having a fulfilling end to his playing years.

Liked the shout on joining the MLS.

It's just very sad it's ending like this, remembering getting him from Leeds as a nipper.

Don't like the slagging he gets from some supporters as they don't really know or understand what has happened, especially knowing he has had Mental illness issues.

Whilst he isn't in favour, i can't imagine the club are being unreasonable with matters.

Hopefully he finds a team soon. He still has something to give.

I can tell you first hand of the two interactions I've had with him that Danny Rose is all about Danny Rose.

Before he broke in to the first team and he was behind Assou Ekotto he was openly threatening to demand a transfer after his Sunderland loan. A family member spent some time with him during 2012 Olympics and he actually said at that time that he thought he was the better left back and he was top 3 in the league. He would leave if he wasn't first choice.

He's only quiet when he's playing.

Really is a piece of work.

This super ’loyal’ player has publicly spoken about his desire to leave at several points in his spurs career, has slagged off team mates and his employers, has been very boastful about his own ability and worth and has assumed responsibility for talking on behalf of both team mates and fans on many occasions.

Then there’s the misnomer about him having been a great player for us. Aside from fitness and professionalism issues that have restricted his average appearances to 20 in the league per season since returning from Sunderland, his form was only consistently good, and admittedly sometimes superb, between mid season 14/15 and mid season 16/17. Before that he ranged from ok to dreadful, understandable as he was young still, and since then it’s ranged from ok to dreadful, with one slight Indian summer in 18/19 which I personally believe was overstated as our expectations of him had dropped so low.

Ekotto, by contrast, is a player who generally seems to attract derision from our fan base, but actual ranged from good to great from pretty much the moment Redknapp joined to the moment he left, barring the odd moment of erraticism. He just happened to make one comment about his view on playing football professional v playing for enjoyment, which was blown out of all proportion, and as a result has made him victim of a tonne of confirmation bias regarding any post of any performance that looks like he didn’t take it seriously enough.

I choose to remember the good times when Danny would run through walls for us and get right up in the grille of any opponent. Good luck to him however the next phase of his career pans out.

Like the boy.
The football world is not very good
at containing mavericks.
He was never as good as he thought he was
but that applies to a lot of footballers and indeed ourselves
but he was good enough for a lot of the time.
I'd rather have Danny and his somewhat personal/ eccentric take on life
than the sanitised Mourinho/ Levy love-in
that masqueraded as a behind the scenes
Amazon documentary.
If only Danny could edit some of the episodes
in his life.
Good luck Danny.
Don't let the bastards grind you down.
He helped bale out the boat
whilst rocking it.
